Overall we had a good experience at the property. It had a central location in the centre of town and walking distance to the shops. Despite this the area was quiet and safe, with ample facilities and a jumping pillow for the kids. The cabin itself was spacious and clean, though the kitchen was lacking a couple of utensils that we always use (kitchen shears and a turner for cooking). Still, we enjoyed a nice, relaxing stay. Would book here again if we find ourselves in Portland in the future.

Firstly dont book on line, call the park to make your booking, as on line places take more of the money. So the park is not getting all your money..its going offshore. If we had of called the park we would not have been booked into 2 sites. The lovely people saw that and changed our booking as so we didn't have to move. They were lovely people and helpful

Good Location

Convenient location right in town so walking distance to shops and restaurants Good size unit . Wifi was very poor - did not work at times and mostly little download speed. Staff tried to correct but still was not good.

Great modern units in centre of town

The unit was very modern and spacious , well equiped with full kitchen facilities and good air conditioning. Right in town with IGA across the right.

Our cabin was basic holiday accommodation: I found the bathroom a little cramped, and the mattress in the main bedroom uncomfortable. We liked the lounge area with full-sized dining table, as we provided our own meals and were able to invite family members travelling with us to join us.

At reception it was rushed. Told check in was 2 - 8 but they rang while we were on the way to say they were closing at 4 . We just hit there in time. Both bedside lights in main bedroom were broken. Not just blown globes. Aircon remote was old and could not see icons to choose for head. Nothing in the unit to show how aircon worked.

We checked into our accomodation late on Wednesday, so the key was left for us. So on Thursday we thought we would do the polite thing and go to reception and introduce Thora (my husbands assistance dog) and show her documentation. The manager immediately got annoyed and informed us they are not “pet friendly”. An assistance dog is a medical necessity, NOT A PET. To which the manager said “well we can’t say no then can we” She then proceeded to lecture my husband about how she would have to pay for excess cleaning. If they cleaned properly in the first place that’s absolutely untrue. She followed it up by telling him off for booking through a third party website because then she has to pay them a booking fee. If you don’t want to pay said fee, don’t advertise on these sites. It is not the customers responsibility or fault. She then commented about us checking out on a Saturday because she will have to pay the cleaner weekend rates because of us. She also insisted on my husband telling her what the assistance dog is for, even after being shown the official I.D. “What is she for?” Is basically asking a person with a disability “what’s wrong with you?” Rude and ignorant! I will NEVER stay at this property again and will be reporting the ownership to our disability advocate

Sightseeing in Portland

Stayed three nights. Lounge kitchen area was good. Main bedroom needs a mattress topper but a bit hard. Plenty of dishes. Microwave,kettle toaster good. Big balcony large table and two benches. The BBQ area was undercover Two big lounges and plenty of tables and chairs.

Mattress in main bedroom was terrible. Springs were that worn out there were lumps in it . Should have been replaced years ago. Toilet bowl was not cleaned well. Expected better for the price.
