We had the pleasure of spending 2 nights at the Fiddle and Sea bnb. The place was cozy and the breakfast was delicious, with fresh bread and homemade spreads. The owners were also very friendly and helpful when it came to things to do in the area and around Cape Breton!

Denise and Alan are a wonderful couple who evidently love to host. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we even had cookies and chocolate waiting for us!! Breakfast was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our history presentation and live music while we were eating. 10/10 recommend this sweet place. We have stayed at other accommodations in Cape Breton that cost more and they didn’t hold a candle to this place!! We hope to come back some day.

The hosts of the Fiddle and the Sea are lovely! They were friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the local attractions and hidden gems. They recommended a square dance in a small community approximately 15 minutes away and we had such a great experience of local culture. The breakfast was phenomenal with homemade bread, fruit parfaits, tea/coffee, frittata and more! The host was also able to accommodate dietary restrictions. Highly recommended!

This place is amazing! From the moment we walked in the door to the minute we left Denise made us feel welcomed. Cookies on the bedside table what a nice touch. Breakfast WOW. It was like eating at a fine restaurant. Close to the water and beaches along with the view, this is the place to book in Port Hood! We will recommend to any friends heading this way.

This was our favorite spot on our 11 day trip to Canada's maritime provinces. The room was delightfully furnished and decorated, and clean as a whistle as was the bathroom. Chocolates and homemade cookies were an unexpected treat. The sunset views from the room and gazebo were great. The host and hostess were very friendly and helpful, directing us to a wonderful restaurant with great live fiddle/piano music, and sharing photos, interesting info and live fiddle music over a delicious homemade breakfast. The B & B is up for sale, but if you get the chance to stay there in 2026 before it's sold, do so. You won't be disappointed.

The Fiddle and the Sea BnB was great. The room was very clean and spacious. My room had a private bathroom. It was a quiet place. The breakfast had a set menu, but it was very good and had a few options like the kind of toast you wanted and a choice of beverage. Sometimes its the little things that make a difference. I noticed homemade cookies in our room, some chocolates. A coffee maker with different kind of coffees or tea was a nice convience. There's a few restaurants near. The other thing that stands out is the short slide show presented after breakfast about the area, and the owner plays a couple of songs with his fiddle. A very nice touch and its not over done. Thank you to The Fiddle and the Sea BnB! We had a great time, and loved out stay at your BnB. I would recommend!
