The facility looked way older and shabby than it was shown in the pictures.
No toiletries
No bathmats etc
Not enough cutlery
To top it all up, the air-conditioning kept making such a horrible noise all night that we had no sleep at all after a 4 hour drive from Melbourne. Tried to have a one night getaway with family after which we ended up extra tired and exhausted due to the lack of sleep. We regret booking here.

Good location - easy stroll into town. Room was overpriced compared to other places I've stayed in town, shower was below average (water flow so slow) and had to chase house keeping to change our towels and get some toilet paper during our 4 day stay. Place could do with a deep clean. All in all it was just OK
Absolutely overpriced. The room was dated and somewhat grubby looking - the carpets and couch were stained and dirty looking and the dining chair cushions had tears. On arrival, we had to call a mobile number to find out what room we were in as there was no staff onsite. There was one wall-mounted soap dispenser for hand soap and for shampoo. We paid $272 per night and expected more for that price.

Extremely disappointed when checking in that reception isn’t open and there is a note on the door asking you to call a mobile and make sure you have your credit card ready. After calling several times it went to message bank and we then had to wait in the car park for someone to call back. After travelling all day and being wet from sightseeing, last thing I want to do it sit in the car waiting for a call back. Then to be told our room was unlocked and keys inside. Very poor way to run a business and won’t return. On check out also reception locked and just left keys in room. Weird very weird. Please be aware wifi advertised as available but we couldn’t get anything. Tried searching for our next days travel but not able to get on. Again disappointing.
Very aged hotel. Dead bugs stains all over. There's no reception and check-in is done via phone and went straight to voicemail a few times but ultimately got a response. Most concerning part is they tell you which room is assigned to you and the room was unlocked. When I went in the TV was on. I paid $149 for one night.
Super location for all the main highlights of the great Ocean road. Lots of places to eat nearby if you don't want to self cater and the local cafe was open at 6am for a great breakfast to set you up for the day.
Quiet location. Easy parking. Short walk to restaurants.

It is an older facility that is starting to show its age. The shower leaks and it's one of those that that is not self contained so it leaves the floor wet all the time. Don't leave any food material on the counter because it will end up being covered with many small ants.
Definitely recommend Portside Motel.
Only 10 minute walk to cafes, restaurants, bars, beach. The beach is gorgeous. Theres snorkling, life savers and sheltered from wind.
One of my favourites was that the beds where so comfortable, quiet clean spacious rooms. Great TV reception and the receptionist was so helpful and such a beautiful lady. Close to 12 Apostles, Loch Ard gorge, 12 Apostles gourmet trail, Petersborough. Already booked in for nxt year 😊

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Room was large, site was quiet, check in and check out process seamless.
Price was high compared to the ones nearby when we arrived and check. Service was poor. Did not clean the room norm change towels. No service was provided
Turned up before 6pm to check in and there was nobody in reception. There was just a note on the door that told us we were in number 2 which was unlocked and the keys were in the room.
When we got in the room it was basic which was fine but the amount of dead bugs squashed on the wall or ceiling was disgusting. Not the greatest experience

Great to be contacted re arrival time. All as expected. Outsie patio needs to be cleaned.
The decor was different and garden was pretty. Good towels.
The shower was curtained and did not have a cubical which meant water all over the floor. Bathroom amenities were in bulk and not attractive.
