Booked an oceanfront deluxe Villa at the last minute on Orbitz and this hotel exceeded all of my expectations. I have been wanting to check out the Trident hotel for many years and as I've been in Negril for the past month almost, I had the opportunity to take a road trip through the countryside into the beautiful town of Port Antonio. The hotel is exquisite and the service is nothing less than incredible. I arrived at this elegant, luxuriant hotel in my road trip traveled in T-shirt and bikini bottoms and was treated like royalty. Trident Hotel can now be checked off my bucket list....the experience was absolutely beautiful.

This hotel is perfectly appointed. The best feature is the privacy and the ability to truly unwind. The rooms and patios with private plunge pool are amazing. I also want to clarify the rooms are perfection the beach is okay. I didn’t really need the beach since we enjoyed our patio more. The beach is private, the water is crystal clear , and they do offer activities but it is close to the road and there is some background noise where at the villas it is just the sound of the waves. The service is excellent but slow. Slow because they are preparing your food as it’s ordered so the waiting is a non issue when I know it’s freshly prepared and hot! It gives you a chance to enjoy your company and

We stayed at The Trident in early February 2020; we were upgraded upon arrival to a room with a private plunge pool. This was such an amazing touch and made our holiday very special. Everything from the lovely team who looked after us, to the private beach and the stunning views were just perfect. Would visit again in a heartbeat!

There are many amazing hotels in this world but none comes close to the service level of The Trident Hotel. I truly felt special as they went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and memorable. I was attending a wedding at The Trident Castle and Shanique was kind to take me back to my room in her personal car. The guys also helped when my uncle's tire was flat. I love the entrance of the hotel, and that we get a phone to use while we are there. It was really helpful as I was lost and was able to call for directions. Its a very quiet area and just pure beauty.

Beautiful private hotel on beach

From the moment you walk in, the excellent staff at Trident start to pamper you. Coconut water and a cool towel to refresh you after your drive. The private villas are huge and have all the amenities you could ask for. The private beach is an excellent spot to sun, splash and enjoy a Red Stripe. Central to all the offerings in Port Antonio. Friendly and professional drivers to take you anywhere you want to go. The best hotel in Port Antonio.

Excelent Hotel, amazing Villas! I stayed in Villa 7, great room very spacious. A really nice living room. The bathroom is amazing, nice shower with view outside and a bathtub in the open with view to the ocean. A private pool with heater. The view is the highlight of the room right in front of the ocean you can see the waves crashing against the rocks.. Amazing!

Extraordinary, beautiful, quiet

This is a place for the rich and famous. Only 14 rooms and most guests take all their meals in their rooms, and few go to the small lagoon. You won't see other people. That can be what you're looking for, it can also be a bit too quiet for those of us who enjoy people watching. There is also nowhere to walk. The hotel sits atop a reef. Spectacular scenery but no walking on a beach to be done.
