Last minute booking right next to a natural beach. Front desk was awesome to us, extremely helpful both at check in and later in the day. Very very good restaurant right next door. Wish I stayed longer!!!

This hotel is perfect for a stay in Ponza. Not only is the location the best, the service and hotel property is truly blissful. I have been pleasantly surprised by the level of attention to detail, room views and service from the staff. As a tourist who speaks very little Italian, the hotel was able to quickly organize dinner reservations, full boat trip with lunch and even tickets for the bus that is a few meters away from the hotel. After recently traveling to Almafi coast, Tropea and Sicily, Ponza is my absolute favorite. I will be back before summer ends. The staff makes this property a dream and of course the views!

Hotel Ortensia, situato a le Forna, in una posizione strategica, vicino alla fermata del bus, a 8 minuti (a piedi) dalle piscine naturali e dalla Caletta e una vista panoramica da toglierti il fiato!!! Per quanto risguarda la nostra esperienza, avevamo solo la prima colazione... stanze buone dotate tutte di aria condizionata, colazione ottima e abbondante...una cosa importante, il personale è veramente cordiale e gentile, ti assistono in tutto, per quanto riguarda noi, hanno prenotato loro per noi tutte le nostre gite guidate e l’ultimo giorno, ci hanno dato la possibilità di sfruttare l’ultimo giorno di mare facendoci usufruire della doccia e dello spoiatoio!! Ci ritornerei subito!!!Lo consiglio vivamente!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ortensia!

We stayed four nights at Hotel Ortensia and and really enjoyed our time there. From the moment we arrived we felt super welcomed and the staff in the reception was friendly and helpful. Our double room lived up to the standard room, including AC, small fridge, TV etc. But the most beautiful part was the incredible view from the balcony (which we payed 50€ extra for but nonetheless). Another positive aspect of the location of the hotel was the close distance (walking distance) to The natural pools and other beautiful beaches like La Caletta. We would really recommend staying at Hotel Ortensia for anyone going to Ponza. The only negative aspect of the stay was the standard of the restaurant. Before the trip we had read that the hotel had one of Ponzas best restaurants, and was therefor disappointed of the standard of the service at the restaurant and the lack of dishes (no Tiramisu or Mozarella even if it was on the menu). But in total we had a great time staying at Hotel Ortensia and would love to go back again!

IF you come to this Island looking to escape the hub-bub of the port- this is the place for you! A 10 minute bus ride away ( comes every 15 minutes) and you reach the hotel that offers spectacular views- a wonderful sunset and a short stroll down to the Natural Pool and beach area. The staff is fantastic. They helped to book a private afternoon boat tour for us the day we arrived. We enjoyed a seaside view with outdoor balcony. Dinner there was delicious with a sunset in the background. We look forward to going back for more than one night!

wonderful location above great swimming. ( down many steps but worth it). staff very helpful. Lucia speaks fluent English. bus stop nearby. short ride into town. only negative: bed not very comfortable. but still highly recommend.

Hidden jewel

Lucia and the staff were amazing. This is a jewel of a hotel in a secluded and quiet part of the Island of Ponza. Minuets walk down to the natural pools, Wonder restaurants nearby. Perfect for a quiet relaxing low key stay.

Hotel con vista mozzafiato su Palmarola

A pochi scalini dalle piscine naturali servito da bus, 3 piccoli market, farmacia, casalinghi e prodotti da mare. Servizio ottimo veloce e cordiale alla reception. Camera dotata di condizionatore autonomo Daikin, tv led, zanzariere, cassaforte e terrazzino vista mare. Unico difetto la Camera è piccola stile Londinese ma a Ponza va bene così, manca poi l'ascensore per le camere al secondo piano ma vi si può accedere dalla strada sul retro che è a livello. Colazione abbondante con ottimi dolci fatti in casa, cena con pesce freschissimo ed eccellenti primi e secondi. Ottimi anche contorni e frutta. Personale di sala gentilissimo un applauso allo chef. Ci vediamo presto.

Albergo confortevole vicino al mare

Ho passato 4 giorni con la famiglia a Ponza alloggiando in questo hotel. Posso dire di essermi trovato molto bene. Personale cordiale e accogliente. Cucina ottima. Posizione dell'albergo vicono alla fermato dell'autobus che porta alle varie calette dove farsi il bagno, vicino comunque c'è una discesa che porta alle piscine naturali, posto meraviglioso dove farsi il bagno. Per andare al porto di Ponza occorre prendere l'autobus (munirsi di monete poichè i biglietti si fanno sull'autobus). Ponza isola meravigliosa. Si consiglia almeno un giorno in gita in barca percorso completo: Ponza e Palmarola con pranco incluso.

Grazioso albergo a due passi dal mare

Grazioso albergo a due passi dal mare in una zona tranquilla di Ponza. È lontano dal porto ma ben collegato. Nelle vicinanze ci sono pizzerie, ristoranti ,mare con cala feola e le piscine naturali e altri servizi. Le camere hanno una bella vista e sono ricche di comfort. L'hotel è molto pulito. La colazione è ottima . Unica nota negativa i letti sono un po' corti per chi è più alto di 1,90 cm .Sicuramente ci ritorneró

Magic place

Great stay no complaints however i would suggest strongly to travel at the end of may when most business are open unfortunately moat restaurants were close at the time of our visit. Without a doubt a place for children older than six years old.
