「The owners were very friendly. A cosy place, room was clean slightly dated. The room my wife and I was in had signs of an old leak on ceiling, some repairs needed but nothing serious. Both of us found the bed a little soft for our liking. There are no restaurants close by within easy walking distance, but there are plenty of choices by car within 10 - 20 mins.」

「Lovely bolt hole for a few days away visiting various places in Cornwall by train and bus. Just a note to self, if we stayed another time I'd bring dry shampoo as the water pressure wasn't great for my hair. Also if you have a weak bladder, make sure you book 」

「Stay at this hotel. Firstly, a credit to the staff, all of whom were fantastically polite and personable, providing simply great service. The vintage lift was a unique joy with the communal areas continuing the slightly nostalgic theme. The bar and dining vibe was relaxed, quiet and combined with great food and attentive staff made for a relaxed breakfast, evening drinks and dinner. 「Didn’t think that a hotel in a service area would be as good as it was. Hotel exceptionality clean, the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nicely laid out and we had more than enough to eat. Unfortunately we booked for two nights but had to leave after one but will definitely be back.」
