Villa Marala

"There is only ONE thing that caused 2 separate problems. The staff is not intimately familiar with reading the room numbers on the room keys. Our party of 4 arrived and were directed to a building on the property with two separate room keys. One key did not match any room in the building and the other key matched an OCCUPIED room in an adjacent building. Frustration at the least and a potential security issue. The key issue was eventually resolved…..eventually. Our family finally settled in. At one o’clock in the morning, I was awakened by our sliding glass door opening. It was a drunken group attempting to enter our room. Apparently they also had a key to our room. Fortunately, the group realized they were entering the wrong room. The site appears to hand out keys randomly or has multiple duplicate keys. Aside from that the view is lovely and the swimming pool with swim up bar is awesome. Beware of security issues. Be very aware."

"This was a hallmark getaway for my wife and I on our honeymoon as well a milestone birthday. The staff was amazing, the venue was perfect, food was Michelin quality and the experience we had was perfectly well rounded, 5-star. A diamond in the rough! Thank you, Encantada!
