Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de 3 nuits à l’hôtel. Le check-in a été particulièrement chaleureux et agréable, l’équipe a été très accueillante dès notre arrivée. Nous avons également testé le spa (service payant) et l’expérience était vraiment très réussie : installations relaxantes et moment parfait pour se détendre. Notre chambre était superbe, très confortable et bien entretenue, ce qui a grandement contribué à la qualité de notre séjour. Petit bémol toutefois : le rooftop a beaucoup de potentiel mais manque peut-être encore un peu d’aménagement ou d’ambiance pour être pleinement à la hauteur du reste de l’établissement. Enfin, un point un peu étrange au moment du check-out : on nous a demandé de payer deux serviettes de l’hôtel. De mémoire, nous n’avions qu’une serviette tachée à cause d’une coloration pour cheveux, ce qui nous a un peu surpris et a laissé une petite note négative à la fin du séjour. Malgré cela, nous avons beaucoup aimé l’hôtel et gardons un très bon souvenir de notre séjour. Une très belle adresse à Playa del Carmen.

The room we had was designed poorly. For example, the sink tended hit the basin then splash all over you. We had to be careful to turn on the water gently. The shower head was positioned so that you always had water splashing in your face from directly above. The view from the balcony was a wall about 15 feet away. The toilet clocked very easily because the big flush button was disabled. The safe instructions were incorrect. Very poor lighting and mirror position. On the plus side, it's very close to 5th street. It has a working elevator and the pool is not bad.

Clean hotel in an easy to access area. Not enough loungers by the pool and the ones that are there are in poor condition. Not too sure if it was the time of year but the roof bar and lobby lounge bar wasn’t in service.

The stay was good. They would come every day to change out the towels, make the bed and take out the trash. There was a learning curve on how to get the air conditioner to blow out cold air. Had to get maintenance to come clean out the shower drain, they came and took care of it right away. Great location between 5th and 10th avenue.

Rooms are clean , the staff is great . You are literally less than a minute walk to Quinta Avenida . The beach is about a 5min walk . It’s in the more quiet side of Quinta so don’t worry about any loud music and not being able to sleep . 38th street is not too far either .

Unfortunately this property does not live up to its four-star rating. The lack of transparency regarding ongoing construction was a major issue, and the poor insulation between rooms only made matters worse. Its hard to justify the price tag when you can't get any rest. I will definitely not be returning!

Excelente opción, a media cuadra de la 5a ave a pesar de la cercanía hacia la 5a el hotel muy silencioso perfecto para dormir agusto, tenía la Suite Presidencial muy buena habitación me gustó la tina, lo espaciosa que era mi habitación, no pude agarrar el servicio de Spa por falta de tiempo, pero se veía muy bueno a la otra tomo el servicio seguro, agradecer a Luz en recepción que me hizo resguardo de equipaje desde un día antes de mi llegada muy buena atención por parte de todos los recepcionistas, la otra chica también era super agradable, buena atención de roof tranquilo pero linda alberca, seguro vuelvo pronto!!

The room smelled like mildew mold and old water. They put us in the back of the hotel pillows were dirty so were the towels in the bathroom…then the tv wasn’t working they refused to move us instead they racially profiled us and threatened to call authorities because they assumed we had marijuana in our room. The shower pressure was awful the water barely was hot. Next time I’ll stay at a resort. The location good for shopping and tourism but that’s it.

The location is excellent — very close to the beach, supermarkets, and all the nightlife, bars, and restaurants. This makes it extremely convenient, but it also means the hotel can be quite noisy at night. The room was very large and bright, which we really appreciated. However, the kitchen was poorly equipped. When we arrived, there was only one frying pan and nothing else. The microwave wasn’t working, and the light in the extractor hood was broken. The administration ordered kitchenware for us, but we only received it after six days. The light bulbs were replaced, but the microwave was never fixed. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, but the bed itself is quite short. For anyone taller than 175 cm, this could be uncomfortable. We stayed for almost a month, and unfortunately, housekeeping was very inconsistent. During the last week, the room wasn’t cleaned at all — even the trash was not taken out. This was probably the biggest downside of our stay. Also, the room photos showed a large mirror, which was actually not present in the room. Despite all of this, I would still consider giving this hotel a second chance. Overall, it has good potential, and we might return again in the future.

Room was clean and beds comfortable. But this is not a 5 star hotel, 2.5. No amenities. 3 pool chairs, no pool service as advertised, no bottled water. Our room didn’t have balcony chairs, but they brought up 2 from the dining room. Staff are super nice and were helpful. The location is great… close to the beach and 5th in this area isn’t too loud. Starbucks and lovely French pastry shop are steps away!

É la seconda volta che con mia moglie andiamo in vacanza a Playa del Carmen e questa volta non siamo rimasti per niente soddisfatti della struttura che ci ha ospitato. L’hotel AME si presenta su Expedia come un 4 stelle con tutti i servizi che un hotel di quella categoria dovrebbe avere ma purtroppo non è proprio così. Le camere sono tenute male con polvere ovunque, i bagni presentano rubinetterie completamente coperte di calcare e la doccia, anche se di dimensioni generose, non ti permette di lavare solo il corpo perché ha solo il soffione principale che tra l’altro ha anche pochissima pressione. Le camere inoltre sono molto rumorose, si sente qualsiasi movimento o persona che transita nella camera sopra o di fianco o nei corridoi. I servizi di SPA e piscina sul rooftop poi sono in totale abbandono. Un vero peccato perché per la posizione e il personale della reception che è stato sempre gentile questo hotel potrebbe essere davvero un 4 stelle. Comunque non capisco come Expedia con la quale ho già prenotato diversi viaggi e non ho mai avuto problemi possa promuovere un albergo che di fatto non corrisponde alle caratteristiche citate sul sito.

Very Disappointing – Misleading Listing & Poor Service I stayed at this hotel from Dec 30–Jan 1 and booked two rooms with balcony and street view through Expedia. The experience was unacceptable. There is no real 24/7 front desk. After certain hours, only security is present. I landed around 6 PM and called the front desk many times before arrival — no one ever answered. Upon arrival, we were given rooms with a balcony but no street view, which is not what we booked or paid for. I showed them my Expedia confirmation, but they didn’t care, blamed Expedia, and then asked for $200+ per room to “upgrade” us to the exact room type we had already purchased. Basic amenities were missing — not even bottled water was provided in the room. The bathroom faucet is poorly designed and positioned so close to the sink that turning on the water causes it to splash everywhere, soaking you. Customer service was dismissive and unhelpful. This hotel clearly relies on misleading listings and inflated ratings. There are many better hotels around Quinta Avenida. Recommendation: stay away from this hotel.
