For the price this was one of our favourite all inclusive resorts. Very nice! The room was awesome, the food was great. The waterpark is amazing for kids, spent hours there. The beach was beautiful, one of the best I’ve seen! The only things I would change are: Room service. It took 2 hours one night I think they actually forgot about us completely. The restaurants close at 10… too early especially when you’re arriving late and your whole family is starving. The staff were decent but could have been more helpful or more enthusiastic. We tip well but it felt more expected than appreciated. No one wanted to go out of their way. It was tricky to get reservations. We went right away when we arrived and it was very booked up. We don’t have many options or flexibility on times for our family or 5. Loved that there’s a family side and adult side though.

Staff here makes the trip - Arturo at the pirate ship pool, Edgar and Daniel in the activities department, Jorge in FC, and Agustin at the Celsius bar - all deserve special shout outs for going above and beyond to make the trip amazing. Property could use some cosmetic updates but overall offered a comfortable and relaxing family vacation. Food was about as expected but had plenty for our picky eaters, and daily gelato never hurts.

Wow this place was wonderful. Doing the family concierge was a great decision. Extra loungers, pool, private beach area, helpful concierge via whats app for booking our dinners and answering any questions we had. Cute gifts for the kids and adults. The food was amazing all over the property. Nespresso coffee shop and ice cream spot were our family favs!

We stayed at Paradisus Playa del Carmen for 7 nights as a family of 2 adults and one 4-year-old child, and we had a great experience. The resort is very family-friendly, with lots of fun activities for kids that kept our child entertained throughout the trip. The pools were excellent, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy as a family. What really stood out was the guest service, which was excellent from start to finish. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable family vacation, and we would definitely recommend it to other families traveling with young children.

The resort is very family focused if you are not in the Adult only section. Most activities are dedicated to the children, and there are many different things for them to do. Excellent programs and activities daily. The pools are lovely, the kids pool with the pirate ship could be cleaner. The accommodations were excellent. We had a swim up pool with adjoining rooms. The beach is great, rough most days and they were constantly cleaning up the seaweed. The food was OK. I would suggest that the adult only restaurants were excellent, great service and food but the others were mediocre and very difficult to secure a reservation. They all had kids menus and the choices I felt were limited and the quality passable. The buffet was ok, lots of choices but I have to say the staff had a full-time job keeping things clean with so many children dropping food and spilling things. And they did a good job of it most of the time. Overall, I felt that the resort was totally focused on keeping the kids happy, and adults were a little neglected. I would have liked some entertainment at the main pool, perhaps some music.

The resort was well maintaned and the staff were really nice. The kids activities were aimed more for 7 and under and the games room had a minimum age requirement of 11 years old. It would be nice to see more geared toward preteens. The scheduled pool and beach avtivities could be better planned by having volleyballs, beach balls, etc available all day for ppl to play. A mic to get more ppl involved for the activities would help. I really enjoyed the aqua aerobics and beach volleyball when enough people were there to play.

Room and pools were great. Staff was the worst I’ve encountered at a Mexican resort (this being our 4th trip). They constantly seemed annoyed with having to do anything. The family concierge is not useful at all. I’ve booked a similar concierge room at Palladium Kantenah last year and this is like night and day in terms of quality. We had to reach out to them on our 2nd day when it became obvious that they were not attempting to introduce themselves. We constantly had to remind them that we asked for things like ice (there are no ice machines in this resort, or at least not in the family section that we were in). They couldn’t get us any reservations other than 9pm which doesn’t work with young kids. When walking by the restaurants between 6 and 8, they were never full. Not sure why no resos are available if the restaurants are empty. Beaches were covered in sargassum, but that’s no fault of the hotel. it did however make the beach unusable. Room was big however hot tubs on balconies don’t work. You would have to fill your tub for hours to get enough water. This wasn’t just our room, we travelled with 6 other families and none worked. Some positives: pools and water park were great, buffet was good enough. Swim up bars were great and the drinks were well made. In summary, not worth upgrading to family concierge and this resort is far from 5 star. Closer to 3.5 if you want to be realistic.

La chambre était très spacieuse et belle ( le sol en marbre, un grand balcon avec un jacuzzi et des fauteuils extérieur). La salle de bain était magnifique avec une énorme baignoire et une douche séparée. Vraiment spacieuse chambre et beaucoup de rangements. La connexion internet était dans l ensemble très bonne dans l hôtel. Très pratique pour une famille d être dans notre zone à côté du bateau de pirate pour les enfants et du bar/restaurant Celsius pour adulte. L aquazone est aussi super pour les petits et plus grands. Beaucoup de différentes slides! Le seul bémol est la réservation pour les restaurations le soir. Il faut vraiment s y prendre d avance sinon il n y a aucune place. Le spectacle du soir pour les enfants est très bien ainsi que les nombreuses activités du kids club! Je recommande vivement !

Very clean and beautiful amenities. Food was amazing, all the restaurants and the buffet were very tasty and loved to find authentic Mexican flavours. Pools were very well cared for, a little on the cooler side but very enjoyable. The aqua park was good just wished they had more for the bigger kids like a bigger slide. My 3 kids loved the ice cream parlour and my husband and I loved the nespresso bakery, what a treat having good quality coffee 24/7. Kids also loved the kids club, though I did wish they had a little more sports. The entertainment was also great for families. My only suggestions would be to improve the bedding as the sheets were not very comfortable and neither were the pillows. The rooms were well appointed and we enjoyed the jacuzzi. Another thing we missed was lively music by the pool. It would’ve been great to have more Latin music and dance. We had great service throughout and specially appreciated the pool side and entertainment staff. Omar and Venecia were also very attentive. Most of the staff were very warm but we found some to be a little cold and very focused on the tip. Overall wonderful experience and we already can’t wait to be back.

If you have toddlers — like we do (ages two and four) — this resort is absolutely for you. There were kids everywhere, and so many activities specifically designed for little ones. They really cater to families. What I loved most is that they also balance it beautifully for parents. There’s an adults-only section, and they offer a daycare/kids club with tons of activities, so you can actually enjoy a fancy dinner or some quiet time while your kids are having fun. The staff was amazing. The resort itself was beautiful. We honestly weren’t there long enough to explore everything because it’s a large property with so much to do. One thing I really want to mention — please tip the staff. They work incredibly hard, and what they’re paid is simply not enough for everything they do. Their kindness, energy, and service truly make the entire experience special. A little extra appreciation goes a long way and is very well deserved. Hands down, this is the best resort I’ve been to — and I usually like trying different ones. This one is truly top-notch.
