View from the rooftop is absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, the roof is closed/ locked until 8am, so you can’t go up there in the morning to watch the sunrise over the sea (part of the reason for booking this place). Building is still under construction, as well as several nearby buildings. So expect to hear pounding throughout the day. Gym is basic but sufficient - a couple treadmills, a couple bikes, and a rack of dumbbells. Garage is tight! If you have anything larger than a VW Jetta, don’t do it! View from balcony was great as well. Bring your own supplies - paper towels, detergent, etc. Good place, will definitely consider staying here again.

Receptionist/lady in charge double booked our room. She made excuses that it was not Macondos fault instead Expedia’s fault. When realizing Macondo made a mistake, she tired to give us a used, dirty room stating she was “being nice and doing us a favor”.

Puntos de oportunidad y mejora

Sobre las amenidades que ofrece no cumple con 3 de ellas, existen muchos ruidos al interior del establecimiento, faltan cosas indispensables como bote de basura, ganchos, etc. Es comodo, y tiene buena ambientacion y ubicacion. El espacio de estacionamiento es reducido para su acceso. Sin embargo el personal de recepcion es sumamente atento y servicial la señorita sarai y el joven dan un gran servicio. En cuanto a limpieza se requiere mayor atencion por el precio que se esta pagando esta bien en relacion con la calidad de mobiliario. La television no transmite canales uno tiene que ingresar la cuenta de streaming personal y solo tiene primevideo y netflix, no permite descargar mas opciones. El roof tiene areas bonitas y una cancha de padel excelente sin embargo existe un deterioro en las areas de barra y restaurante. Es decir que el punto debil del lojamiento es su mantenimiento, falta de mobiliario y amenidades.

Un buen lugar no muy caro de la 5ta Avenida.

Es un lugar bonito si decides no hacer mucho gasto en comida. En general es un sitio bastante bonito fué una semana agradable, lo único es que si pagas en el establecimiento te cobran un 4% más por pagar con tarjetas.

Macondo has an excellent location, but is really expensive for what is offered in my opinion. Some times you’ll read this is a hotel. It’s not and does not provide any hotel services, like housekeeping, linens, trash take away. There was only one beach towel in our room, which also had a kitchen, and no towels for the kitchen or to bathe or to wash your hands anywhere. Didn’t have any paper towels or napkins either. There’s a person at the front door, and that’s the end of any similarities to a full service hotel. We stayed at The Fives Downtown this past week, also, and for the same price. The Fives is what a real hotel is like. Housekeeping. Valet service. Pool service with restaurant and bar. A manager who makes your stay perfect.

Algunas fallas pero es el mejor HOTEL AIRBNB Ahi

Nunca nos hicieron la limpieza porque estuvimos menos de 7 dias, y solamente estancias mayores les daban un dia de limpieza, tienes que tirar tu propia basura y no cambian las toallas de la habitacion, pero es muy comodo hacer todo, porque te dejan hasta una aspiradora y lavadora, lavatrastes y todo para que no sea dificil, es un gusto limpiar porque la suite ES PRECIOSA, es el mejor hotel de Playa del Carmen, lo unico malo es que la entrada del estacionamiento es muy complicada, pero hay un valet parking que te estaciona tu auto todo el tiempo, NOS ENCANTO este hotel con todo y que no funcionaba el elevador... todo VALIO MUCHO LA PENA. Gracias
