Property was pretty clean for being a busy resort. Food choices were decent although the few restaurants onsite that require reservations, definitely need to make in advance before you arrive. Staff is friendly and the drinks were good. Close to the beach and great swimming areas. Pools were nice and the onsite entertainment was fun.

great beach front, lots of pools, most restaurants were excellent and well above average compared to other resort all inclusives. our ac was finicky but not a deal breaker. try to get a room on the second floor to avoid disturbances. service was great and friendly. perfect for families.

Excellent cleaning crew exceptional entertainment crew food wasn’t quite as good as last year but it was still above the average all inclusive resort. Drinks were decent all the way around… pool/beach wait staff slower service than average but not bad at all… shows were top notch every night!

Food was only ok, also had a few get sick while we were there. Plus had an issue with booking through expedia and having a clear description of the age for a child, the confirmation email was even worse that mad it sound like a kid was an extra item with no guarantee they could stay with you on the same property. Then the cuatomer service was just a run around after the fact showing the issue how expedia was not updating the price correctly on its site. The staff, were very nice, and the resort was clean, the beach had some rocks in the water which kinda sucked and dangerous. Overall it was good but not great.

Room was cleaned every day and beverages was restocked. Rooms were a little dated, shower was small and did not have the shorter shower only rain shower. The view was not great. Pool was big but could of been heated a little. Activities were good at the pool. Lazy river was freezing not relaxful. Definitely a resort for families geared towards kids. Food was mediocre not great at all definitely have had better but good enough to eat. Star cafe was great for snacks and coffee. I loved all the animals and the mayan culture designs throughout the property. Nightly entertainment was okay loved the circus show.

Wonderful stay and the family had a great time. Pools were amazing and staff/service amazing. Food great at the al a carte restaurants and buffets average but good choices. Room clean but room service food not so great.

PROS: * Incredible facilities. Well maintained, clean, and visually spectacular to the Maya theme. * No reason to leave the resort: Great diversity of restaurants, planned activities, and things to do between the theatre, play areas for kids pool, spa, sports bars, and beach. * Very well integrated with nature and fantastic commitment to sustainability. You can see lots of peacocks and coati's walking around. No plastic bottles, and good conservation practices. * Genuinely helpful staff who try to make sure your experience meets your expectations with all the powers available to them. Special mention to Sara, Maria, and Yomira who worked with me to resolve all challenges. They were really great! *Rooms are spacious, clean and have lots of amenities including free mini-bar (restocked once per day), hot/cold water, ironing board, and air conditioning. Laundry Service and room service available for small fees. CONS: * The Iberostar App is a key tool used for navigation and loading your hotel credits. For the duration of my stay, it didn't work as it was supposed to. Concierge needed to give me manual coupons to compensate for the app not loading the discount codes. * Questionable scheduling for Expedia exclusive benefits. The complementary bottle of wine that came with this package was delivered on the evening of day 4 of our 5-day trip, despite me asking for it since checking-in. Make sure to request it be available upon arrival when checking in to avoid this issue.
