Kitchen was fully equipped with everything you would need. The rooms were clean and spacious, beautiful building and friendly staff. Parking is what you would expect in a downtown area but was very easy and the attendant was great.

Everyone I encountered was amazing through our experience related to our stay. There was an event occurring in the main entry way during our stay and the valet assisted us in locating parking, called the front desk and checked in from the door, they were very informative and helpful, even the building staff were very friendly and helpful helped us with the door on arrival. It would be nice to be able to use valet service, especially since it is paid parking anyways, and also enter through the nicer main lobby rather than a service entrance and padded frieght elevator... I did chose the Penn because of its prestige, location, amenities, and to view/enjoy craftsmanship of the architecture and chandilers specifically (as a former apprentice of the artist). Overall great stay.

I paid for an early check in and followed through around noon. Realized the unit had no heat, the issue was reported several times many promises were made but no heater, spare blanket, or second maintenance personnel ever came. The tub filled during showers which was also reported and never fixed. PLEASE REFUND MY MONEY

We were here for Pittsburgh Unified Auditions for high school student to find college acting and musical theatre programs. Because of a scheduling glitch, I found myself needing last minute accommodations. The staff at Placemaker were compassionate and kind as I had to move our stuff from one hotel to this one as my daughters were auditioning. I cannot thank them enough for making this situation easy for me. The unit we stayed in had everything we needed and was close enough for us to walk to everywhere we needed to be. Thank you!

Very close to downtown (the strip district) area), the botanical gardens is not to far either ! Only thing that kinda sucks is trying to find the parking lot but we ended up finding it ! Very clean !

Bad experience at the unit, as the bathtub was clogged, and we had to wait to shower. And after we got out, the bathtub was incredibly dirty. One of the windows didn't close, and the air conditioning didn't work properly, so we slept very hot because the air was escaping. Other things were broken. So, we had a bad stay, and it was so expensive.

The carpet has a very strong odor. Trash shoot is broken plus smells terrible, just have other people take it out after your stay. Was getting different messages from front desk staff. Ubers go aroud the corner and drop you off around the block because GPS takes you there.

My room was very clean with a beautiful city view. The space is well thought out and very comfortable. There are also a lot of walkable shops and restaurants. Check-in was a little awkward as there was an event in front of the main entrance that I had to walk through with my luggage and speak very loudly over while checking in. Overall it was a nice getaway experience.

When we checked into the hotel, we were treated extremely rudely. The door was broken, so the PIN code did not work, yet we never received a key until the moment we checked out. Because of this, we were unable to properly join our evening tour. The staff member who assisted us was very disrespectful, which made us feel very uncomfortable. When we said we would speak to the manager, he even lied by claiming that he was the manager. His behavior ruined our short trip. For this reason, we are demanding a full refund from the hotel.

Highly recommend! The property was great - with the stunning lobby, fast elevators, and clean, bright unit. Check was not required (after completing the online process & getting my code). The fully furnished apartment with lots of kitchen appliances & coffee! Bed was firm & comfortable, shower was hot with lots of pressure. It even had a washer/dryer. Great location - near restaurants & it really felt like it was connected to the city. Everyone (desk clerk, valet & manager) was friendly & helpful. Finding the parking was a challenge - I suggest calling ahead for directions to the garage.
