Only after contacting Travelnest (the third company in charge of advertising the property) by phone on the day of check-in, I got a very short email from the owner about the check-in time (an hour later than advertised) and code for the key box. Great hotel in the heart of Lyme Regis

"Great Hotel in superb location right in the middle of Lyme Regis. We were initially worried about parking, but on the day that we stayed there were plenty of places to park at the hotel and the car booking in system straightforward. We ate an evening meal in the hotel restaurant - typical pub fare but a few things were unavailable. Staff levels slightly low. Breakfast was really good, the staff very attentive and managed to customise my breakfast exactly as I wanted. "

"Good location in centre of Sherborne. Very reasonably priced room and the staff are friendly and helpful. The pub has a car park and is also just 5/10 minutes walk from station. The delightful Sherborne abbey is just a very short walk from the inn and there are numerous restaurants nearby. The room was very comfortable although there was occasional noise from the bar downstairs or outside tables. The Abbey is close by and the clock chimes might bother some. The food onsite is good whether you require breakfast or a meal. The room was well equipped and it suited me as a solo traveller very well. "
