"The room was pretty clean but it smelled like sewage. I know that is a problem in Barcelona hotels more often than one would hope. Although very centric location, the whole Rambla was under construction during my stay. If would have booked elsewhere had I known. The breakfast was pretty average, the coffee was below average."

"Overall, our 5-night stay in hotel Astoria was excellent and would definitely stay again. Check in and out was really easy and handy to have 24/7 reception for early/late arrivals. Staff were very friendly and happy to give recommendations. The rooms were very clean and tidy with nice touches. The tiniest improvement to the rooms would be a little coffee/tea area but there was a fridge with water and drinks which was great. Really good location, in a quiet spot with lot's of lovely cafes, bars, restaurants and amazing bakeries with just a short walk onto the main road in Barcelona with the two Gaudi attractions. There is a metro 5-10min walk away, which was perfect for travelling to other parts of the city. Highly recommend. "

"Just left after a really lovely 3 nights at the Grand Hyatt Barcelona ! It’s just over 45 mins from the airport terminal to the hotel via the metro (very simple to navigate) and the check in process was easy. Reception was helpful with ideas on where to visit. The room was nice and clean with all the amenities you’d need. The super king bed was very comfortable. The hotel is located 5-10 min walk from the Spotify camp nou, 7 mins walk to the metro and 10 mins walk to a lovely shopping centre with everything you could need. The metro ride to the city centre and all the main tourist attractions is no longer than 30 mins. The view from the hotel roof bar is pretty impressive at both day & night. Staff were super friendly throughout our stay and they even surprised with champagne, chocolate and strawberries on the last night for a honeymoon gift! We didn’t have time to use the spa due to a packed itinerary but I’m sure we’ll be back again to take advantage of all their facilities. "

" Beautiful, spacious and clean room. Very comfortable bed and handy for city centre. Only problem for us was the noise from the club next door which, even with earplugs, was extremely loud and disturbed our night’s sleep. Thumping base until the early hours of Sunday morning and other noises throughout the property (no sound proofing) meant we were not as refreshed as we would have liked…. especially before going to watch the marathon. "

"This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The location is amazing, in the center of many shops and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious, everything they offered was delicately made and full of rich ingredients that made the taste incredible. The staff was as friendly and kind as can be, they honestly went out of their way to make us comfortable, they were extra nice to my 4 year old daughter. They were welcoming in every way and accommodating, it felt like our home for the 5 days we stayed there. It’s perfect for couples and families as well. We will definitely be back!"
