"We had a lovely one night stay at Ferncliff, it was just lovely and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend as a very well run ‘b&b’ type hotel but much more luxurious. Bernard in particular was fantastic, especially his cooking — we had both dinner and breakfast there. Very glad we chose this over the ‘grand hotel’ in the end. "

"Myself & my partner stayed here for 2 nights. Unfortunately the photos on the website do not represent the actual rooms that you get. For some reason, the lovely tiled floors in the photos have since been replaced with a dark red, dirty carpet which instantly makes the room feel unclean. The shower head did not prop up. "Overall I am quite happy with my stay. Read about the water pressure problem in the reviews and was a little apprehensive at first. Turns out the water pressure was very good, at least in the 2 rooms my and my friend were staying in. Some room for improvement in the administration but I'm sure it will be better the next time I visit the hotel. I'll likely stay again when I come to the area again. "
