Overall, my experience with the hotel was fine, but the restaurant was understaffed for breakfast. Initially, we were the only customers in the restaurant. We ordered coffee, but only my wife received a mug. I inquired about a mug for me, and the waitress huffed that someone else was supposed to bring me one. Then, two new customers sat at a table next to us, and the same waitress immediately brought them mugs. I never received coffee! I was mystified: did I say something to offend the waitress?
After we ordered breakfast, customers occupied five other tables. They were served breakfast, paid, and left while we were still awaiting ours. We politely asked twice about our ordered breakfast, but the waitress turned rude and surly. It was surreal. After an hour's wait, the staff seemed to vanish, so we left, never receiving our ordered breakfast.
We were nothing but polite during the whole breakfast misadventure, but it felt like we had offended someone. It was so bizarre, we were never upset by the experience. It was such poor service as to be laughable.
