The rooms were clean and all of the pictures online are accurate to what it looks like in person. The free paddle board rentals were amazing. The beach was right across the street and many restaurants and shops were within walking distance. I’d stay here again.

Is this a fancy hotel? Not at all. Was this a charming stay? Absolutely! My kids loved it. It's literally across the street from Pensacola Beach, and the bit of beachfront on Sabine Bay, though small, entertained my kids for hours. They had a great time hunting for minnows and crabs with a net and flashlight at night. The staff was also super friendly, one even came over and lent my kids a headlamp. There's also a certain vintage Americana felt at the Surf and Sand that's somehow lost in the big brand resort experiences. It's not upscale, but we sure enjoyed our stay!

Location, location, location. This hotel is in the perfect location. We parked the car when we arrived and only drove it once the rest of the week. The amenities are fantastic! So much for the entire family to do. We used the paddle boards and kayaks daily. Watched dolphins within a few feet of the swimming beach. Kids had fun catching Whelps and crabs that would come onto shore. Endless hours of entertainment. If I had to criticize something... one day we signed up for housecleaning and they never put us on the list so we had to do it ourselves. Also, portions of the hotel looked a little rougher than I expected. But we are not bougie, so it was easily overlooked. The entire family had a fantastic time. We loved our stay and will definitely be back again. Also a special shout out to the breakfast staff who make your morning memorable..

We did book our room under the impression that we had a private beach, balcony, and bayfront view. The private beach area is very small, no balcony just your typical top floor walkway at a regular hotel that everyone has access to, && view is ok “bay front view” here isn’t your typical idea pictured when you usually book at other hotels on the beach. Only small minor complaints fr. Our housekeeper ms Toby was very friendly, professional, organized, and kept our room as if no one ever checked into it (in other words very clean and fresh towels, linen etc.) when we checked in around 8pm a lady named Felicia greeted us and during this time she was alone and very busy from current guest, others checking in as well and also calling front desk. She never got overwhelmed continued to help us book our stay another day longer, had one of the best attitudes I’ve came across in a veryyyy LONG time from a hotel front desk! Ms Felica was outgoing, sweet, funny, patient, knowledgeable and all together one of the best interactions I’ve had while checking into a hotel (as myself and my husband travel for work across country) we will definitely return for great hospitality because of Ms Toby (housekeeping) and Ms Felicia (Frontdesk) Thank yall

We had a great stay at Surf and Sand Hotel! The staff especially the breakfast staff was very friendly and accommodating. The property and the room was maintained and very clean. This is the second time that we have stayed here and we will continue to stay on this property as we have had great experiences both times. We highly recommend this hotel!

As advertised, has some character to it- enjoyed it over a run of the mill chain hotel stay. The small private beach area was perfect to take the kids to without having to leave the property. Fire pit & pool area were nice. Can’t beat the location & price. Will return.

Rooms were clean! Fun activities at the private beach and pool looked fun, but didnt feel heated so we didnt swim. Breakfast was good, but the breakfast attendant made it a 100/10 even if options were limited! It was a great trip and great hotel for the price! We normally stay at Pensacola Beach Resort, but will be staying here from now on. Its also walking distance to the boardwalk, most restaurants, and literally right across the street from the pier and the beach. Can see the gulf from the hotel.

The amenities at this property was beautiful. Now when we first checked in the room that I had the toilet did not flush.The light was flickering on and off, and the inside of the door had mold in it. She accommodated with me and gave me another room. When she gave me another room, the sink did not work.Property

Overall, the stay was okay, but it didn’t fully meet expectations. The location was convenient and the check-in process was fairly smooth, which I appreciated. The staff was polite, but not especially attentive. The room was decent, but it could’ve been cleaner and felt a bit outdated. A few small maintenance issues and lack of attention to detail made it feel less comfortable than it should have been. Nothing terrible — just not quite what I was hoping for. It’s not a bad place to stay if you’re just looking for something basic, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

Very welcoming staff, great breakfast with waffles, eggs, sausage, toast and fresh fruit. Handy to be on the bay great time using the kayaks. Very close walking distance to the beaches, restaurants and souvenir shops. Definitely will stay there again.

Surf and Sand outs a decent property. Friendly staff and hot, standard continental breakfast. The property offers a nice pool and fire pit hangout spot, access to the bay, an assortment of free paddle boards and kayaks. The property is pet-friendly so avoid if you have allergies.

Great room, hotel amenities, WONDEFUL breakfast attendant and breakfast selection! Our location on first floor in the back facing the pool was the best. Can go bike riding just about anywhere, paddle boards, kayaks, and so much more. Great location, you can walk anywhere. Best hotel on Pensacola Beach! Did I mention they are dog friendly? Couldn't be a better hotel selection for me. I can't wait to come back!

Elizabeth in the breakfast area. Friendly & fast working. She greeted everyone, asked if they wanted waffles, told them where other breakfast items were & then wished everyone a great day or safe trip jome when they left. Absolutely a super star employee!!!
