I had a wonderful solo getaway at Sands on Golden Lake. The ground floor room opened directly onto the beach, making launching my paddleboard super convenient. Rooms include a mini fridge and a self-serve complimentary breakfast (fresh eggs to cook, toast, and local Madawaska coffee). The resort has a cozy, rustic lodge with a fireplace. On-site dining is great—the fish and chips were delicious, and the dining room has lake views. Safe, welcoming, and scenic. Highly recommended!

The room was recently renovated and spotlessly clean. Bed and bedding were wonderful. Best shower pressure I have had at a motel in a long time. Beach was wonderful and the view breathtaking!!! Wee bit disappointed with continental breakfast but we made due. Because of the impossibility to get staff, the restaurant had limited options and hours. Wish they had microwaves in rooms so we could have made our own food. We will definitely be back but better prepared for meals. There are few restaurants in the area. Thank you to Sands and staff for a great mini vacation.

Golden lake is the best option to enjoy summer time with family and friends. The option of the chalet is great for a family and the magnificent lake is the most enjoyable experience.

Incredible stay at the Sands on Golden Lake. We arrived by snowmobile, and Zach checked us in, gave us the keys to our chalet, and also made us takeout. He even delivered the food to us! The chalet was perfect, looked to be newly renovated and had everything we needed. We departed by snowmobile in the morning and there was a grab and go type of breakfast for us. Perfect! The OFSC snowmobile trail goes right through the property. Move love needs to be given to the Sands, and it should be a haven for passers through, and snowmobiling. Thanks for everything!
