「The finishing of the interior is very rough. No amenities at all despite the name hotel may connotate. I don't think the drain pipes have p-traps so there's a slight smell when inside the shower, which is nothing but a 3 ft wide area of the room separated by a sliding glass divider. Not worth what you paid through Expedia. It's twice what's posted on their signs.」

「Good accommodation experience, nearby night market and supermarket. Transport is not well good, only 3 bus route pass thru, but no one can go to Larkin Sentral for long distance bus connection. 「Located inside the labyrinth that was originally a fishing village built out over the water, but now has many home stays catering to tourists. We arrived on a Thursday and were the only people there for that night and were told it was quieter with the lack of Singaporean tourist due to border closure. By Friday night we noticed a lot more tourists in the area as well as at the home stay we were in. Xiang Holiday Home was perfect for us - at the furtherest extreme of the village with lovely ocean...

"Very good location. It was just a short walk to the JB checkpoint so perfect for travellers commuting between JB and Singapore. We also enjoyed the breakfast which offered a lot of options and tasty food. The room was spacious and the shower was great. However, there were ants on our bed, in the drawers and in the bathroom. When told about the issue, the staff only applied some insect repellent and did not resolve successfully. On our last evening, we went to the pool bar to relax, but were told that most of the cocktails were unavailable. We had wine instead and it was not properly stored. Very disappointing and we had to cut the evening short. The hotel could definitely do better with more staff training in terms of housekeeping and managing its bar."
