「Beautiful property. Upon retrospect, we probably would have enjoyed booking one of the higher priced room to get the full experience rather than the standard room up on the attic floor.」

「Was surprised it was a motel-style setting with windows overlooking the car-park. Quite a bit less picturesque compared to all other places we stayed on St Cuthbert’s Way. Food at dinner was good but a bit pricey compared to other inns and there was no table-service.」

The restaurant and bar have a good selection with well kept beer and the staff are helpful and friendly. We especially recommend the panna cotta, however, all the food was good. The rice ran out ...who runs out of rice? Some staff were extremely friendly and organised other quite the opposite. Breakfast was quite shambolic with insufficient tables set for everyone and items continually running out. The options were very poor for such an expensive hotel. Sadly they don't need to...

「Some of the positive reviews are likely from week-days. NEVER go here in the weekend. Your room is above the hotel's pub that makes your stay unbearable. It is not just people having a drink, but actively partying and shouting with a dj. This place should not be listed as a hotel. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. 」
