"My wife and kids (11 and 7 years old) had a wonderful stay at the Clandestino Beach Resort. This is a very low key, relaxing experience. The location is outstanding just steps from the beach and the villas are nestled into a beautiful jungle giving it a very tropical vibe. You can hear the ocean waves crashing from all parts of the property. The beach ia S beautiful, clean and quiet. You feel like you are at the end of the earth. Diana, the owner and operator, is lovely and made sure the trip was enjoyable for us. Rooms were good sized, nicely decorated, and very clean. A/C was great to come back to after a long day at the pool or beach. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served onsite and there are a few restaurants nearby. The included classic tico breakfast was super. There was also pastries, bread and coffe available at no charge. You are also able to select other items for a reasonable fee. Lunch and dinner onsite were both available for a fee and were very tasty. You can taste that everything is fresh and made to order. Drink selection was good as well. Lots to do in the area. Waterfall tours, mangrove tours, jungle tours, sunset cruises. Definitley rent a car so you can explore the area with ease. If you are looking for a big resort with loud music, pool games, kids club, buffets, entertainment etc. this is not for you. If you want to unplug, move at your own pace, and decompress, you will have a great time here. "
