"Hotel says 4 star, but from my experience it would be a 3 star all day long.
Staff were amazing.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Air-conditioning was not as cool as it should have been. Turned down by hotel due to heatwave??
Hotel is very traditional and could so with some updating in places. Pool area is a bit rough and ready. Gardens are lovely.
Breakfast wasn't a great experience. The food was delicious with plenty of choice- when it was there.... There was only 1 member of staff at any one time. We really felt for them because they couldn't keep up. It was too much to cope with.
Guests clearing their own tables to sit down, searching for plates and cutlery, running out of milk/ juice etc. Only one coffee machine so you had to queue... The Hotel really needs to add more staff at breakfast times."
