Convenient location, great communication, but hygiene needs work Summary: Booked on Expedia. The rating was 8/10 at the time, but in my view it didn’t match the hotel’s current condition. Check-in/out was smooth and mostly contactless, with clear photo instructions. Location is very handy: walkable to the ferry terminal and shops. Sadly, cleanliness was the main disappointment (especially for my wife, who is very sensitive to hygiene). The place has potential if these basics are fixed. Details: Google Maps showed 3 different pins (name vs address vs Expedia directions); searching by the hotel name was correct. Wi-Fi was good and the A/C was quiet. The room looks tired (many wall marks; some outlets/switches feel loose). Furniture is nice and beds are wide, but mattresses are only OK (springs can be felt). We had a microwave plus a small fridge, kettle and dishes, but some items (especially the kettle) were very dirty. The large bathroom (two sinks) had visible mold/black buildup and stains, and there is no power outlet in the bathroom. Linens/towels had stains; for 5 guests the sofa-bed linens were incomplete, and the blanket smelled. It’s a small property; the courtyard is mostly gravel with a small patio and many cars parked. The pool looks great for photos, but the bottom had black mold, so we skipped it. We arranged an early airport transfer the night before and used the reception button in the morning; it was reliable, and the owner was friendly.

Rustic but very nice and well located in Papeete

Very nice breakfast fresh fruits breads etc Very nice and accommodating staff we arrived late in the evening and the robe was ready and waiting for us. This hotel is quite rustic, but we enjoyed our stay and a great place to stay right before we boarded a cruise cruise ship.

Super accueil de Vainena (désolée si je n’écris pas bien le prénom). Chambre impeccable et confortable. Centre ville à proximité et proche des ferry. La Clim parfaite aussi. Nous étions 4 personnes (famille). Deux grands lits. Je recommande😃

Our room was very dirty. Under the beds were awful… we found other people sandals. Cobwebs in ceiling. Toilet rug disgusting. Not toilet paper provided. Swimming pool in poor condition .Water wasn’t clear. We couldn’t use it. Chickens around the garden all the time and droppings around our room and pool. Very noisy at night with many roosters around. Well overrated for the service they provide.

Pros: cost, walkable location, free wifi, safe, hot water, staff were kind and helpful. Cons: mattresses and sheets had stains, pool out of order though no repair work happening, instant coffee, location not easy to find. Grounds and amenities were tired.

Not just a place to sleep for the night!

It was perfect! Hosts were extremely helpful kind knowledgeable and accommodating! We booked at the last minute and they really helped to make it all come together for us! Even had time for a swim in the pool and left with wisdom from the elders! Mahalo Nui Loa!

It’s ok

Needs work. Holes in the walls in the closet, definitely not a good stay. Nice people but the grounds are really rough. It served the purpose of a stay overnight until we checked into our other hotel.

Pension au fond d une ruelle sombre . Accueil fermé à 17h , arrivée à 21h personne pour acueillir , renseignement reçu par mail ( faut il encore avoir de la wifi ) 30 mn avant notre arrivée nous indiquant le nom du bungalow. 2 jours après notre arrivée c’est nous qui avons renseigné des pauvres chinois qui était perdu ( accueil fermé a20h le jour de leur arrivé même pas un mot sur la porte et les numéros d urgence ne répondent pas ) Cette pension est sur un terrain où sont stockés des voitures de location ou de dépôt , beaucoup de bruit , coq a3h du mat , sombre. Piscine mais abord négligés face à des dizaine de voitures . On dirait que la pension était un hangar qu’on a divisé en 4 logements . Chek out tardif ok moyenant 67 euros …
