L’hôtel est très beau, la localisation dans la ville est idéale. Le personnel est chaleureux et attentionné. Leur restaurant sur le toit est aussi super. La cour intérieure est propice aux petit 5@7. Le seul bémol, l’eau de la douche ne vient jamais très chaude… c’est rafraîchissant!

The only complaint we have is the price they charged us for a take-out breakfast the day we left very early for a Canal tour. $30 per person!! For yogurt and granola and a croissant that was so stale we couldn't bite it. They comped us $10 each for the croissants, but if they had explained their pricing at the time we would have chosen to find food on our own.

Review for the Hotel San Felipe, Old Panama City I had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Hotel San Felipe at the beginning of my Panama adventure. The location is second to none, nestled in the heart of Old Panama City. It’s incredibly walkable, allowing you to easily explore the beautiful historic buildings, delightful restaurants, and vibrant entertainment spots. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by Rommel, whose professionalism and excellent English made me feel right at home. As a solo traveler, I appreciated the attentive service; my bags were promptly taken care of, and I was personally escorted to my spotless room. The attention to detail was remarkable, and I even had a lovely shaded courtyard outside my room, perfect for escaping the intense sun or finding shelter during rain. Throughout my stay, Kimberly and Maria also went above and beyond, making sure I felt comfortable and well cared for. When I returned to the hotel later in my trip, even without a reservation, they remembered me and warmly accommodated me like family. I highly recommend the Hotel San Felipe and will definitely be returning on my next trip to Panama. I’ll also be recommending it to my family and friends.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel San Felipe and would happily recommend it to anyone staying in Casco Viejo. The location is excellent — right in the heart of the historic district, making it easy to walk to plazas, churches, cafés, and restaurants, while still feeling calm and comfortable. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and made me feel at ease as a solo traveler. My room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable — a great place to relax after full days of exploring Panama City. I especially appreciated how well maintained everything felt. Overall, Hotel San Felipe offers a great combination of location, comfort, and warm hospitality. It was a lovely base for exploring Casco Viejo, and I would absolutely stay here again.

Very disappointing stay due to misleading room photos and descriptions. The room I received did not correspond at all to what was advertised. I booked a standard room that was supposed to include a king-size bed and a balcony. Instead, I was given a room with a full-size bed and only a window, no balcony. The photos show a much larger room with enough space for a sofa at the end of the bed, but the actual room was extremely small—there was no way a sofa could fit, and there was barely any space to place luggage. It felt cramped and uncomfortable. The bathroom was another major issue. There was no privacy whatsoever: the glass door was very transparent and had a large gap between the door and the frame. There was also no space to hang towels or place toiletries. The bathroom was unbelievably small, even smaller than what you’d find on a cruise ship. I contacted the property immediately after entering the room, first through WhatsApp and then in person at the lobby. Unfortunately, neither employee offered a refund or a real solution. I was told the hotel was fully booked and that no other rooms were available. Hours later, they mentioned that a room had become available due to a cancellation, but by then I had already opened my bags and didn’t want to move, especially since I was only staying one night and wanted to quickly go out and see what the area had to offer. Instead, I wasted at least two hours going back and forth with staff, which completely ruined my only evening

Lobby was warm and inviting. Our room was spotless. Shower pressure was great and air conditioner worked wonderfully. Front desk staff awesome… Alexandra is a gem. Aevar and Rommel were awesome and super helpful to us when we needed printouts etc. Only minor thing is the bed is a tad hard for our liking and the room could use and extra trash bin. Otherwise it’s a perfect place to stay in casco viejo

A lovely place. Staff at the front desk was welcoming and very helpful in answering questions about the city. Our room was clean and the bathroom felt like a little spa. Perfectly located minutes (by foot) from anything to do in Casco viejo. We really enjoyed our stay and would go back.

The room was very clean and the hotel is very nice and it is in a great location for walking everywhere in Casco Viejo. The only problem we had was a lukewarm shower. Staff is very helpful.

As far as the staff and the property, I got great service. I had a room off the street though, and I heard everything going on outside until 5 or 6am at times. Outside of the noise, I enjoyed myself.
