The Riu hotel in Panama City is wonderful ! The buffet breakfast is plentiful. The rooms are spacious and the location is very convenient. They have a beautiful pool and a lovely restaurant adjacent to it. I certainly don’t have any complaints !

My stay at RIU Plaza Panamá was nothing short of excellent. From the moment I arrived, the service was top-tier—professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The hotel amenities are impressive and well-maintained, offering everything you need for both comfort and convenience. The rooms were spotless, modern, and incredibly comfortable—cleanliness was clearly a priority throughout the entire property. The restaurants deserve special praise. Each dining space was beautiful, immaculate, and thoughtfully designed, with a great variety of delicious options. The presentation, atmosphere, and cleanliness were outstanding, making every meal feel like a treat. Overall, RIU Plaza Panamá delivers an exceptional hotel experience with excellent service, friendly staff, beautiful amenities, and pristine surroundings. The hotel and rooms were clean but ventilation was poor. Smelled musty all over the hotel, especially in the rooms. Pleasantly surprised by the variety of food at the breakfast buffet but a lot of the times the food was room temp or colder. The waiters at the poolside restaurant were very helpful and pleasant. They helped us prepare for our event with the decorations. The food served at the restaurant by the pool was always cold no matter what was ordered except the whole, fried fish, that was very good. The waiters were always smiling, even when we had to send the food back a few times because it was not prepared well or was cold. The drinks also needed to be sent back a few times. Thank you Katsia (hope I spelled her name right) and friends. Lastly, we left a day earlier than expected because of impending bad weather back home, but the hotel refused to reimburse us.

The hotel is centrally located n Panama City from where one can easily access to other part of the city by a short taxi ride, Our hotel room is always kept very clean, and it is very spacious and takes plenty of sunshine. Bathroom is a decent size with a .modern shover and double sinks it is always kept very clean and spotless with clean towels which are daily changed. No reason to say 24 hours receptions, the receptionists are multi lingual and fluent in English also very friendly, helpful and professional. Hotel provides excellent and very delicious breakfast with a great diversity of food including vegetarian and vegan choices, In addition, there are two restaurants: 1. Spanish Restaurant; 2, Ibiza Restaurant near the swimming pool. Both restaurants provides excellent and delicious meals with a reasonable price. We really like The Spanish Restaurant very much because the quality of the meals and food in this restaurant are very authentic and as good as Spanish food in Spain even better in some instances. Swimming pool is great and I believe in an olympic size swimming pool. Weekends it becomes relatively crowded and also locals participate with larger number than that of other days. I believe that Hotel Riu Plaza in Panama City is an excellent place to spent your vacation.
