It is an unmanned property which means no one is there to help if you need it. The hottub was cold for a full day of our stay, which is unfortunate because we booked a place with a hottub specifically. We messaged them at around 8am with no response until around 2pm. Then no one came to fix it and no updates from staff. The room on the other side was having a very loud party. We waited until a reasonable hour to message staff. Around 1am. No response from staff at all. It is dated, but fairly clean. If you get lucky and there are no issues, it's a pleasant place to stay.

Before you book, make sure to actually read the reviews and do your research. That’s where I messed up. For the price of the hotel you could definitely book somewhere better.

It's sad. This is someone's business and I'm sure their livelihood, but unfortunately it is unacceptable. On the plus the pool and hot tub were nice (not resort quality) The beds and linens were very nice. Our two bedroom suite was spacious. There are layers. The first layer is how nice the place is. It is NOT a remodeled 50s boutique hotel. It is old and run down. There are wires stapled to the ceiling and walls. Big gaps around the heater. Handles missing on the closet door. and on and on and on. OK, I can live with that if the price is right. And in all fairness the price wasn't too bad. The pool and hot tub were nice. However there are things that are unacceptable. They were short on towels when we got there. Someone claimed the dryer was broken. We were charged a resort fee, which isn't appropriate when it's just a standard 50s hotel like every other one in Palm Springs. But to be charged a resort fee and not be given pool towels?!! then the bad stuff. The toilet wasn't secure. It felt like it was going to tip over when I sat on it. It actually felt dangerous. The bath tub did not drain. Blind in bedroom didn't work. Kitchen cabinet doors falling off. There was no soap or wash cloths. I'm sorry, but this is like the straw that broke the camel's back. There were just too many negatives and some that were not just cosmetic. Then on top of all this they wanted a photo of my credit card. I was supposed to pay $50 at the resort for a resort fee (which wasn't wor

Seriously? Gap around heater. The whole place was run down.
Wire just stapled to ceiling. The wire was not code compliant and should have been run in a raceway. this is a safety violation.

I do not recommend this place. Accommodations are well below average and not what was in the description on the booking site. We left soon after our arrival. The room smelled like smoke although they have a no smoking policy. A few things were broken such as the TV, the ceiling fan(lights), blinds(no privacy) and pool table was not useable. I booked three nights thru Expedia who dealt with The Float on the refund process since I used a third party booking service. I was initially informed I would be charged for one night which is understandable, but then received a follow up email stating I would not receive a partial refund at all. I don't know what changed, but very disappointing.
