"Superb food and beverages in all outlets tried (Liv, Olivino, Wet Deck for food, cocktails at Akira). Very nice, helpful staff. Super comfortable bedding and well noise insulated rooms. Decent gym.
Room for improvement:
The sauna should be included in the price for guests, not for a surcharge. This needs to be updated in Expedia i.e. should be 'Sauna (surcharge)' not just 'Sauna' if it's not going to be changed.
Secondly, not allowing guests to bring their own water bottles to the pool is petty and annoying, especially given its 40C heat and no water is provided at the poolside/ beach unless you want to buy mineral water. This would cost a lot for a whole day at the pool for a family and most other similar hotels do not have this arrangement - for example, Zabeel Saray provide guests with coolers filled with cold filtered water for free.
Overall though it's a nice hotel, and I'd recommend particularly for couples and friend groups."
