We booked a room on our way there and when arrived the lady told us she’s full… no rooms available. We already paid for it and tried to explain to her but she spoke no English and basically kept yelling she has no rooms (as if that’s our fault). It was already 9pm and she made us wait for about half an hour until we finally got some cash back from her… not even all of it because she said she has to pay tax … Unbelievable. No apologies from her. Nothing. Just attitude. There were no other hotels available in the nearby town either and we were left without a place to stay, at night. Eventually we found something in Le Mans. It’s a shame because that place looked really nice and we were hoping to have a relaxed time in the country. Instead, we got to Le Mans around midnight and stayed by the train station. The worse part of it was the lady’s attitude towards us and no “sorry” or anything. She treated us like we did something wrong and how did we even dare come to her “full” house.

Delightful stay, the hostess was very patient with us despite our lack of French. Lovely lady who was very friendly and helpful. Lovely spread for breakfast. My only complaint is that we didn’t stay longer!

Het was duidelijk dat de gastvrouw er plezier in heeft om de b&b gezellig in te richten en van alle gemakken te voorzien. Monique was erg gastvrij en attent. We hebben de avond in de grote tuin doorgebracht met een gekoeld drankje dat we, net als de huisgemaakte jam van vlierbloesem, ter plekke konden kopen. In de nacht was het buiten aardedonker en muisstil. Een heerlijke plek uit de drukte in een landelijke omgeving.

Le séjour chez Monique a été très très agréable! La maison est très belle, les chambres accueillantes avec une attention aux petits détails, le ménage est impeccable chaque matin. Le jardin est bien entretenu et c'est un plaisir de s'asseoir et de lire un livre en toute tranquillité en compagnie de quelques chats et de drôles de poules. Mme Monique accueille tout le monde avec affection et est toujours souriante et radieuse malgré ses mille tâches. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et pour le dîner la spécialité ce sont de belles crêpes fourrées au fromage filant, au jambon et aux œufs de poule! Tout authentique et savoureux! Je suis resté 7 nuits et je me suis senti chez moi.

Séjour bucolique. Bon qualité prix

Séjour mémorable, par le cadre champêtre et par la gouaille sympathique de la patronne Grande chambre confortable dans une ancienne ferme rénovée. Lit confortable et grande salle de bain avec des à l'italienne. Propreté irréprochable. Seul bémol : toute petite télé dans une armoire sur le côté peu pratique mais je ne regarde pas. Petit déjeuner continental copieux et très bon. La patronne demande d'être payée en liquide en priorité insistante pour éviter les frais bancaires.

Shady dealings

Couple of problems , Cash Only ,The owner refused to take a Credit card (I assumed it would be charged through Hotels.com)and only found out afterwards that a couple I just met paid my Bill w/ cash. The price Booked online was $75 per room and they paid $220 .Thats $70 more than quoted ? Thats not all that's shady ,Without my knowledge or approval . I am booked for three more future stays( 2 in Sept and 1 in Dec.). I showed the owner the mistake while I was there and she shrugged her shoulders . need confirmation of no future bookings and hotel.com are impossible to contact . The place is very nice but issues cause leaving with a bad experience overall

Peux mieux faire

Le séjour est correct, l'hôtesse agréable, toutefois, le coq pourrait être enfermer pour la nuit, évitant de chanter et de nous réveiller à 4,30 h du matin (pour info, j'en ait 8 à la maison au sein de ma basse cour) - La télévision est mal placée dans le placard et très difficile d'accès sur le plan visibilité - Sur la table d'hôte, le verre de vin à 6 euros n'est pas justifié en sus d'un menu à 24 euros.
