Great place to stay!

We have stayed here a couple of times. The family running this establishment are amazing. The wifi is a little wonky. But it is clean, the beds are comfy and they are continuously improving the property.

Lovely Stay!

I recently stayed at this motel and had a wonderful experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The location is fantastic, providing easy access to local attractions and dining options. My room was spotless and well-maintained, making for a very comfortable stay. We had a very friendly welcome with the owner offering us special "tulip" cookies and milk from her own fridge! Very friendly and accomodating. I highly recommend staying here. We came for the tulip festival in Pella and glad we stayed here.

I liked the comfort of the bed. I did not like the outside surrounding area was dirty and old. Also, when I booked the reservation the motel said the King size beds were full. When I checked in the motel was empty and it was a late check-in.

Stayed in town for one night to visit our daughter. Just needed a clean, no frills place to stay. The room was adequate for what we needed. It was clean and had a comfortable bed. That is all we needed.

The property looks like it was probably built in the 1970’s but the rooms are clean have a mini fridge and microwave in them and have been updated. If you are looking to save money this place is not bad. Had to wait awhile for the desk clerk to check us in but overall we are satisfied with our stay.

Nice stay for the price

What a fantastic little place. It doesn’t look like anything special from the outside, but it was very nice in the rooms. A very sweet lady checked us in, offered us waters, and even had little Tulip cookies for the Tulip Time Festival in Pella. Super sweet and kind and made us feel welcome. Bed was comfortable and the stay worked out great. Only complaint was the overwhelming fragrance smell when we first got to the room - might be a cleaner or detergent. I am sensitive to smells and get migraines so we left for dinner and had to leave the window open and return with our own cinnamon air freshener (helps mask). My husband could smell it so but wasn’t super bothered by it, but this was the only thing I would improve.

Property was very clean. Bed was comfortable. No chair or table with chairs in the room except an office type chair at the desk that the TV was on but there was a whole corner of the room with nothing in it. I do not like sitting on the bed as it hurts my neck and back and if I were to sit in the chair at the desk then no one would be able to watch TV. Also the bathroom door did not shut. The coffee pot was on top of the fridge and there was no where to plug it in so I had to move it over to the night stand every morning to make coffee. These were just minor inconveniences but the room was very comfortable. Enjoyed our stay.

Day light through door frame

Door frame was busted, could see day/ outside around the door. Blinding light come through curtains all night long. Was kind of a scary low quality motel. Felt not very safe

It’s a nice place

Amazing location about a 5 minute drive to the university. The team here, does a very detailed clean of the rooms. It has been updated. WiFi is a little spotty on the end room. Only complaint I have is the shower head is not attached to the wall. This was our second stay here and they didn’t fix it in almost a year. But the rooms are clean, the beds are nice and there is great water pressure. Would have stayed a third time but they have jumped the prices a bit more than I like for a no extras stay.

Last minute stay. VERY friendly! VERY clean! SIMPLE room with king bed, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, refrig with freezer on top, (I could of probably put half gal ice cream & something else in it, good size), recliner, 2 end tables with lights,& outlets, good hot water, good lighting, Good size tv with many channels to watch. There are a couple of cubbies but no dressers, hanging area but no hangers, but i didnt need any of those. had a ground floor room. Stayed 2 days. Only complaint I really had was kinda noisy, as main hwy close. But the gal was VERY accommodating, when i mentioned it, she got a fan for me & I slept Good!! Price was good! Lots of construction people staying, but she assurd that it is very safe, has cameras all around. Close to (right next to)gas/convience store, in town lots of restraunts, walmart, etc. I would definitely stay there again!! Because of the awesome service!!👍

Not So Good

I book the room and got confirmation for the reservation 20 minutes before I arrived, yet when I got there I was told that someone had just rented that room a few minute before I got there and had " beat me to it". I had requested a quiet room with a comfortable bed, which the hostess confirmed my preferences when I checked in. The bed was very comfortable, but the room was facing the very busy highway that ran very close to the hotel, so I could hear all of the very loud traffic noises during the entire one night stay. When I checked out the same hostess, whom had given my reserved room to someone else and had confirmed my preference of having a quiet room, asked how my stay was. I told her about the traffic noise and she said I should have told her and she would have moved me to an upstairs room. Blah
