Simply Epic!! Spacious. Cozy. Superb staff. Can’t get a better location for entry to Epic Universe. Get a park view for a park wide perspective. Particularly at night.

Lovely hotel and great perk for early entry to Epic Universe. We had Hotels.com vouchers otherwise I wouldn’t pay the nightly rate as I just didn’t feel this was worth the £500/£600 per night price tag. The hotel was nice, clean but pricey.

I enjoyed my stay at the Universal Helios Hotel. The front desk receptionist was very attentive and polite, and I also had a good experience at the restaurant. Unfortunately, on January 4th, around 9:15 PM, my boyfriend and I had an uncomfortable situation at the hotel gift shop. During our purchase, an employee appeared to laugh at us while wrapping the items. I do not speak English and do not feel comfortable with the language, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. We were polite at all the time, and there was no reason for this behavior. I am reporting this so the situation can be addressed and does not happen again in the future.

The best part of this hotel is the room with a view of Epic, fantastic! The hotel itself is quite small, felt cramped in the lobby and bar area. The roof top bar is really nice but unless you have an outside seat there is no view of the park, plus the menu was limited, nothing plant based, GF etc.

This is a new hotel. It is expensive but convenient to the new Epic Universal Studios. Dining options are limited in the hotel itself, menu in the restaurant is not the best for kids or traditional meals. Beautiful hotel though and it will stay busy due to the proximity of the park.

Five stars for style, one star for silence

The design? Stunning. The location? Prime for Epic Universe. But the walls? Practically made of tissue paper. You and your kids will get to know your neighbors very intimately. (Let’s just say we all heard the same bedtime story.) If you want to be fully immersed in neighbor’s vacation, this place is for you.

The property was beautiful and the staff were great. The issue I had is for the price, the room should have been bigger. We paid about $800 per night for a 2 queen room and it was sort of small. The distance from the bed to the wall where the TV was- was narrow. We kept having to go 1 at a time through that a space. Toilet paper was rough. The bed was very comfortable and direct and early access to Epic Universe was a plus.

Friendly, helpful staff from front desk to servers to theme park security to housekeeping. Grand Helios is extremely convenient for visiting the Epic park and just a 15 minute trip via their busses from City Walk and the other Universal Parks!

The Hotel is beautiful, clean and new. The staff for the most part friendly and inviting. The real issue is structurally. Maybe our $900 a night room wasn’t equipped with real walls. I understand when you come to these attractions hotels most people are excited about getting an early start but when you can hear everything going on in other rooms our outside at 7am is a little discouraging. And maybe I like to break routine on checkout day and wake up maybe at 8:0 or heck even 9 for an 11 am checkout. Impossible when yoir sleep is being interrupted but banging carts out people speaking outside or in the next room. So if you like to sleep till 8am on vacation, “forget about it”.

Staff was kind and helpful. Hotel was very clean, including the rooms. Our room had an issue with the toilet flushing every 15-20 minutes through the night that was not fixed during our stay and the controls for the lights on the room tablets were clunky and do not alway work. The window curtain controls did not work at all when trying to close at night or open in the morning.
