「An incredible property with an amazing view. The owner was extremely helpful on arrival, ready with a map and information about local public transport. He made sure we had all the information needed for our stay. He was very lovely.
We walked to the apartment from the bus stop which was a steady walk up the hill but manageable. The area feels extremely safe too. 」

「beautifully restored, very comfortable, just a few rooms and guests. Very quite. Rooms were lovely and well appointed.
Just a couple of comments, the curtains were very hard to pull/close and the music system for the restaurant was just under the window of our room. It is portable and could be moved around the corner.

Note: The Expedia listing says there is parking, but they have very limited parking. You must reach out to them to see if it's open BEFORE you reserve or you'll end up with no parking. 「It was ok. Location was decent. About 45 min walk from the old town or 14.00 Uber ride. Quite a few restaurants nearby.
Shower pressure was good, had laundry which we needed. Unfortunately not the cleanest. Lots of hair all over the bathroom floor and around any furniture etc.」

"We booked a room with balcony and stayed for 2-night.
The room has a very comfy design and is maintained in good condition. Everyday they arrange room clean-up.
The Scalini Palace is located in an excellent location, very close to the Main Street, taking us just a few steps to Stradun. It’s esp convenient if you want to take nice photos of old town in very early morning.
No lift, same as many other hotels/apartments in the old town, so you have to walk upstairs to the floor you stay. Staffs are very nice. They allow us to drop luggages in reception before check-in time, and helped us moving the luggages upstairs to our room.
Breakfast is quite nice, freshly prepared. Love the coffee they prepared!
The balcony is a tiny one, but it has quite a nice view. "

"On the first night of my stay, the showerhead broke halfway through my shower, and the water temperature was hard to control. I ended up finishing the shower in a very awkward and uncomfortable way. Later, when I was about to go to sleep, I found that the air conditioner remote had no batteries, so I had to go the whole night without any air conditioning. When I told the hostess, she assumed I was the one who broke it. Upon checkout, she asked me for €20 for the city tax, even though I had already given it to her husband on the first day. Her response was, “Oh! Maybe I forgot!”"
