Had a lovely stay at Glengorn Guest House when visiting for the Royal Mòd. Check in was quick and easy, room was clean and tidy with an assortment of tea , coffee and some biscuits. I had opted for a room with shared bathroom which was spotless and close to the room. The accommodation is incredibly close to almost anything you could want and a short walk away from the train and bus stations.

Exactly what we expected, little B&B with the usual quirks. The communication with the location before going was excellent. We really cant Review anything but the room as we didn't do breakfasts. The room had a skylight and the blind didn’t cover the window enough so early mornings.
The contact made sure we were safely installed, this being a late check in. The property was lovely and warm and our rooms cosy and comfortable. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk provided. The location is excellent.
On the hotel. Com website didn’t mention it was a 2star hotel
Place was dirty dust on the walls , run down condition
We paid for 2 nights but left after 1 night
We enjoyed how warm the room stayed, considering it was chilly and windy outside. The room also had a sink in it which was very convenient. The staff was short and rude with us and unaccommodating, which is our only complaint of the facility. It is a very bare bones place so if you are simply looking for a place to rest your head at the end of the day, this is a good choice.
Nothing as the bed my partner fell because you could not move ...you bumped your legs on it ..out of date room wall paper peeling.....very small bathroom....and you had to share the bathroom.... would not be staying here again
There is not a single window in the room. The room is Smelly and the blankets are terrible. You can’t sleep properly due to noise in the middle of the night in this property. It felt so suffocating inside the room. Worst choice ever
The place is terribly run-down; there are no staff on-site. The heater knob came off in our hand when we tried to turn it off. We rang the mobile number; they said it automatically turns off at 12 midnight. Nobody came the following day, and theres no air-conditioning. The toilet seat was too small for the toilet, so it kept sliding around every time you used it, no ensuite some rooms have a toilet and they all tend to have a small sink. Don't stay here; it smells old and musky, and there's no staff around if you have an issue. There are a lot of nice places in Oban with free off street parking this is not one of them they also own next door its also run down and musky the carpets stunk.
This is absolutely the worst stay I’ve ever had anywhere.. The room was filthy, very damp and the mattress is older than me. The seating area looks like old dog kennels that nobody has sat in clearly in years.
The wash hand basin is just conveniently one lick if the tongue away while in bed, the tap constantly drips and the “hot” water is slight less cold than the cold tap. The room was never cleaned once, the towels you hung up on the floor (we asked for a hook and got told if we were not happy we should just leave on our first night). On entry the pleasant girl on the desk said our stay had access to the kitchen & we could order takeaway & that’s where to eat it and the kitchen door was locked for the majority of our stay. The dampness I can’t say enough about, no fan or extraction in a tiny room with a shower, condensation pouring down the single glazed glass constantly & the sugar we bought for coffee was mounted on a tea spoon 2 inch high the room was that damp.
Do not judge the rooms by the photographs, or think you’ll be staying in the guest house you booked as she moved us into next door.
If you really fancy spending a night there to get a sore back, a terrible sleep and like to feel the authenticity of a 1970’s Blackpool dog house for £80 a go then fill your boots.
I wish I had slept in my car.

Disliked: Room comfort
Basic accommodation as advertised
Advertised as no frills and indeed this was the case. Follow instructions carefully regarding check-in as there is a limited time slot. Best for those that don’t plan to spend much time in the rooms apart from sleep.

A bit drafty!
Only complaint is that the windows were very drafty and it was difficult to keep warm.
Parking was a problem. But not too far from car park at a £1-00 an hour. Thought it was expensive at £71-00 a night for just the room and breakfast at £9-00 extra but at least Oban had a Wetherspoons.

Oben sight seeing
Stayed in Oban and travelled daily to various locations including the island of Mull.
Basic B&B ccommodation but it suited our requirements, we didn't book the breakfast. We had asked for an en suite but got a shared bathroom. Saying that, the shower was excellent. The room was clean although the mattress was a bit passed it & the young man checking us in was very polite & pleasant and more than helpful. Oban is an excellent place to visit with great bars & various places to eat all of which are great quality & value.
Upon checking in, informed we had to relocate to a different guest house (due to decorating)
Staff poorly trained
Cooked breakfast cancelled due to insufficient staff
Good luck finding a staff member if you have a query
This and associated houses list themselves as Bed and Breakfast's but charge for the meal. If comparing costs, be sure to add the expense of meals and parking (about ten and twelve pounds daily, respectively).
Our expedia search required free parking and this place was included in the results. Parking is a real issue in Oban. Available space is an issue that Oban should be addressing if they want to enhance their tourism friendliness.
Despite issues, we love Oban, and will go back better prepared if possible.
