They only give you one key to share for the room. When you are paying for two beds and two guests, you need two keys. Also, our room on the 4th floor needed to be updated/remodeled. Tried to open the curtains, and the curtain rod fell down. One of the lights by the beds would only turn on for a moment, then flicker off. Same for the electrical outlet near that light. Most likely a fire hazard/electrical issue. There was only hot water in the shower…the old/frío knob was also hot water. And then the water wouldn’t turn off if you turned on the hot/calor knob…you’d turn it off, but the water kept coming out strong. Took several minutes to finally get the water shut off. I went into a friend’s room there, and it was sooo much nicer and updated. Very disappointed. And then in my final morning there, I walked downstairs around 945am…walked through the lobby to leave for a hour to go have breakfast. One of the workers came running outside, following me a block down the street saying I needed to check out, acting like I was doing something wrong. Checkout wasn’t until 11am. I would never recommend this hotel.

What an absolutely wonderful hotel! The entire staff was so warm and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious, along with a big modern bathroom. The restaurant offered so many delicious options, and the staff there made us feel like family. And the location is absolutely perfect. If I’m ever fortunate enough to visit Oaxaca again, this is definitely where I’ll stay!
