Staff was incredible — prompt, kind and helpful (from clean rooms to helping us call a taxi upon checkout). The room was beautiful and spacious. The location was perfect! Right in the middle of everything for convenience, but tucked back away from the sound for a peaceful sleep. I would absolutely recommend staying here and look forward to coming again!

Stop scrolling and book this boutique hotel, especially during the Dia De Los Muertos Holiday. The location is amazing and the rooms with the balcony are incredible. But the best part of our stay, was the staff. Caring and reasonable pricing on everyhing they offer. I will definitely stay here again next year. I can’t say enough about the staff.

Exceptional hotel. Everything was perfect about our week at Casa 1800. Inside our spacious room it was quiet, private and peaceful and then right out the front door is the vibrant and exciting historic center of Oaxaca. We were even messaged about scheduling a taxi to the airport on our last day which was so appreciated. In the morning, we’d wake up to the quiet birds outside in the open air areas.
Super quiet during Day of the Dead festival right outside the front door.
After a week, our room still felt so fresh and clean.
Best shower ever!!!!!
A sweet table outside our room for bringing food into eat. So many delicious restaurants nearby.

Beyond this property and the room we stayed in (Maria) being much more beautiful than pictures, the staff and property manager Ana were incredibly friendly and helpful! The room had everything you can think of and the place and area it’s located in, is safe and very convenient to all the things Oaxaca has to offer.

The primary reason to stay here is the amazing location. Half a block from the zocalo, where all the action is while being on a quiet street with no cars. It was also clean and seemed safe. That said, there was a lot we didn’t like. It is really a cross between an Airbnb and hotel with limited service. No concierge to ask questions of. The rooms are on the small side and not well laid out (example, no dresser so I had to use the “desk” to put all my clothes on top of and no closet). The shower pressure was weak, we had an issue with drainage, and it smelled of sewage most of the time we were there. Lastly, the birds chirping in the morning typically woke us up. If we came back to Oaxaca we would look for another place near the Zocalo.

I really liked the place. It was quite despite the noises outside. The room i got was small but very nice and clean. With a modern feel to it. Also has a small patio outside the sliding doors we enjoyed an afternoon snack there. We traveled with 4 luggage and that was not fun because theres no elevator. But thats was on us. The stay was great!
