A Tusker elephant on a hedge only in Nuwara Eliya. April is the time gardens in Nuwara Eliya start blossoming with beautiful flowers and are adorned by intricately trimmed hedges. But this hedge was discovered during my visit in November 2014. Such a head-turner.
Out in the mountain regions of Sri Lanka, your eyes can't help but be drawn to the bright green lines of the endless tea plantations.

至此地入住的好選擇
一下車就被飯店正門吸引，很有英國殖民風格的飯店。與歷史淵源結合，真的是來此地最好的選擇。房間有暖爐，讓一下從30度平地來到此地的我們不至於因12度的夜晚而感冒。房間裝潢典雅，浴缸的配置也讓我們能夠讓我們在熱水中舒緩幾日以來在古蹟行走的辛勞。位置絕佳，致central market或是Post office 只需步行幾分鐘。英式花園小而美，一片陸地搭配主建築物讓我們好像似過去貴族。飯店附設的Grand india餐廳是我們在斯國吃到最好吃的餐，在hotels.com訂房還能享有15%的優惠，真的是很物超所值!

La chambre est très lumineuse avec de grande fenêtre et propre. Le personnel est vraiment à l'écoute de ses clients. Nous ne voulions pas sortir pour le repas du soir alors ils se sont occupés de nous faire livrer une pizza. Nous avons manger dans la belle salle à diner. Il y a aussi un très grand ...

The road from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya is full of turns, deceptively long and passes some of the largest tea plantations in the world. Truth be told, driving anywhere in the hill country of Sri Lanka is an exercise in patience given that even short distances can take hours due to slow moving traffic, poor weather or less than desirable roads. Better then to sit back and enjoy the ride while stopping for the occasional picture.
