Hotel Godafoss

"We had booked the suite with the fabulous views to Godafoss waterfall, and the gorgeous pink bath tub as a special treat for our trip. The suite is fabulous, the staff lovely, breakfast and dinner onsite was really good. The view is exceptional. The negative for us was the constant doof doof through the floor, of the music playing in the restaurant below. The restaurant had a lovely ambience when we dined about 7pm, but at 9pm it started to go off, with a large group or party, I'm not sure, and the music beat, along with the raucous laughter and talk until 10.30pm ruined the enjoyment of our stay. While it may not seem late we had had a long day and and early start planned the following day. The music started again from 8am, we were just thankful that it wasn't earlier."

"Great property, fairly new so was wonderful to experience it. Beautifully appointed rooms, comfortable bed, lobby lounge is big with lots of seating areas, to enjoy a drink after a days adventures. All staff members were friendly, helpful and very happy to assist with any needs. The property is located in the town, but towards one end so it is quite. Easily walkable to restaurants and main shopping area, and the pier. There is ample parking nearby and easy access to the main highway."

"A cozy, scenic haven from the elements! We only spent one night at Fosshótel Mývatn, but it was exactly what we needed to recharge. We enjoyed a fantastic, comforting dinner at the hotel restaurant while sheltering from the weather. It rained during our stay, but our room featured a stunning waterfall view that looked beautifully dramatic against the moody skies. While the hotel offers a great on-site hot tubs and sauna to warm up in, we actually skipped it since we spent our time soaking at the spectacular Earth Lagoon nearby instead! The beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring we were perfectly well-rested. A spectacular high-end pitstop on the Ring Road."

"The room was good. We were I a building across the street from the main hotel which was fine. Clean and well kept. Breakfast was good. Parking was free on the street from 4pm til 10am but limited."

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful Stay in Iceland We had a fantastic stay during our Iceland trip! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, with everything we needed after long days of exploring Iceland. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was warm and relaxing. The location was convenient for exploring, and coming back to such a comfortable place after a full day of waterfalls, glaciers, and scenic drives made the experience even better. The room was well maintained, the bed was comfortable, and the service was excellent. Overall, it was a great experience and a memorable part of our Iceland adventure. We would happily stay here again and definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Iceland! 🇮🇸❤️ 5/5 — Highly recommended!"

"The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was extremely nice and well located. The breakfast was well supplied and had a large selection to choose from. Dinner was excellent but a little pricey. I liked that they asked if we wanted a wake up knock if the northern lights could be seen from the hotel. We had a lovely stay"
