「Staffing was a major issue. There was a cleaner there when we got there and didn’t seem to have any information about us coming. The rooms weee clean but little things were broken (tv remote). When we tried to leave the next morning, there was absolutely no staff around and we couldn’t get out of the gate. It took us 10 minutes to figure out how to get out of the grounds. No communication from anyone. It would be a great little spot to stay if there was a bit better service. 」

「The sink had no plumbing traps, so it smelled like a sewer if you hadn't used the sink for a while. The lock to the door was really hard to both lock and unlock. I stayed in two different rooms, one didn't have the possibility to lock the bathroom. No restaurant within walking distance and no possibility to make your own food except for a water boiler. Really low level of sounds proofing. The staff was really friendly and helpful though 😊」

The concierge informed them there was no record of the reservation and that the KESMO LODGE DOES NOT WORK WITH HOTELS.COM. Hotels.com worked with me to resolve the issue, but the Kesmo Lodge was completely absent and not part of the solution. 」

「The hotel is situated on dirt roads and is close to nothing. The rooms had dead bugs and it seemed unkept. Our reservation included free airport pickup and free breakfast. However, we had to pay for transfer and no free breakfast. According to the hostess, we paid a special rate and it did not include those items. 「They canceled our reservation literally at the last minute without any notification whatsoever; leaving us stranded at the Maun Airport. Then the manager refused to give us a refund. Both Expedia and I tried to rectify the situation for over an hour while still at the airport all to no avail. This feels like quite a scam! They took a reservation and almost $300 USD.
