The location was great. Walking distance to beach and downtown. Restaurants nearby. We did find a couple of cockroaches in the sink and hair everywhere. Beds were comfortable but no a/c, just a fan.

Fantastic two bedroom suite with ocean view. Very reasonable. Walked to the ocean in the morning. Two smart TV’s in the room. We left the windows open all night. Just excellent

Okay place to stay.

Our stay at the Newport Bay Motel was pleasant, and Maria was a good host. We were fortunate to have one of the better rooms, larger, quieter, with a recently remodeled bathroom. The motel was a bit rundown, and has definitely seen better days. It's not on the Bay as you might think. It's on the highway. We were fortunate to be in a room away from the front, and all the traffic noise. The price was reasonable, and the amenities were minimal. You could do worse.

Front desk staff (pretty sure they were the owners) were super warm and friendly. Easy check in and out. Stayed in room 45. Very clean room. Bed was surprisingly comfy. Comfortable room overall. Good size. The ceiling fan was an added bonus. If you are someone sensitive to road noise, you may be bothered here since it is right on the main drag. I found it perfectly fine myself. Good location with easy access to tons of services. Ocean view from the room. Obscured but there. Great sea breeze coming up through the window. Fridge and microwave. Will definitely stay again, no hesitation.

The property is conveniently located near downtown Newport, but that's about all the property has to offer. It was extraordinarily priced at a hefty $184.5 for one night. The rooms were super small, everything was either broken or did not work. There are COCKROACHES on the carpet. They have a sheet full of rules you need to follow or they will charge you, which is unfair for what this place had to offer. I have stayed in $60 motels which provided a better service than what I got out of this dump. We will surely not return.

Manager where???

The room is great, other than the paper thin walls. Babies crying and people fighting all night. Check in wasn't easy.... no one was there. There was a sign asking us to call but it only rang in the lobby. Theres a bell but no one there to hear it. Someone came in after us to check in and we told him there was no one there, he went banging on doors until a manager finally came to check us in.. we nearly left because thats such a red flag.

The lady at the front desk was very nice and accommodating, she upgraded the room at no extra cost. The motel itself isn’t that great, it’s a little dingy and also might have a flea problem.
