The lobby, breakfast, and location are strengths. One weakness is that the room was too hot overnight, and adjusting the thermostat didn’t help. I reported it to the front desk in then morning, but the problem was never fixed.

The room smelled like mildew and needed some updates (lots of cracked/chipped wood). The carpet in the bedroom was wet (ruined my socks). They couldn’t move us but placed a blower in the room (very unsexy). The layout of the room was a little awkward but it was fine. However the staff was nice enough. And the room seemed clean despite the wet carpet.

Old but cute boutique Hotel. The air-conditioning unit was not working in my room at first. But after bringing it to the attention of the front desk, they were able to rectify the problem quickly.

First of all, the location was amazing for the convention center. Going to the tourist attractions is about a 15 minute walk. It is doable if you are up for the walk. It is about 1 mile away. The hotel itself is just fabulous. The bed was comfortable, the record player in the room complete with jazz vinyls were an astounding inclusion! I listened to the record player before bed and when I woke up. Bathrooms were roomy and staff were great. Breakfast was good - regular scrambled eggs, granola bars, yogurt cups, plain bagels, toast, bacon, sausage, potato’s, a toaster if you need, cereal and milk, and coffee/capuccino/latte machine. Front desk staff were attentive. They don’t do daily room service but I don’t care for it. Loved it here and would consider this hotel again for sure. Oh and kf curious about the cabs - I used lyft and jt was about $10 one way to Bourbon/French Quarter area.

Staff. Donna and other front desk clerks were all above and beyond for all our needs. Maintenance was fantastic as well throughout our stay. Room was clean and spacious. Amenities were fantastic. Just chatting with staff throughout our stay was nice and made it feel like home. Would definitely recommend and will stay there again.
