「The location is great and quiet, but it feels like a government-owned hotel 」

「This is a run down, filthy hotel not fit for a stay at any level. It was likely not updated in the last 20 years. The hotel really should be demolished. I left a day early and went to another hotel. This hotel was over 70 dollars per night, more expensive than most hotels. Any positive reviews out there must be from many years ago or they're not authentic. I would advise everyone to avoid this place.」

「I’ve stayed here several times for more than a week at a time over the years because I need to be in this particular area. This is not a fancy hotel, but for the price, it is great. The rooms are as pictured in the photos. Simple, but always clean and the staff are extremely nice. As with much of Addis, the area around it is changing/developing dramatically. If you need to be in the Arada or Amist Kilo area, I’d stay here.」

「The staff was friendly. The room was clean. There was a large selection of food at the breakfast buffet. Restaurant had good food. The kids didn’t get in the pool because the water was green.」

「This hotel stands out for its proximity to shops, restaurants, outdoor areas, and tourist sites. The reception staff were lovely and very attentive, and the facilities (gym, spa, laundry) were very appreciated. The rooms were dated, but fairly well kept, and the beds were comfy. On the negative side, the shower was too small to be used effectively (the water angle cannot be adjusted and shoots at the shower doors, flowing over the head of shorter guests) and occasionally didn’t have hot water,...

「Free but poorly organized shuttle (e.g., waiting over an hour for 3 planes to land while trying to fit 15 people with luggage into a tiny shuttle). Front desk staff are not aligned with one another and some need additional training. Restaurant amenities are fair and staff are attentive and friendly. Overall condition of the hotel is okay but rooms are dated.」
