"This is a very old hotel, in fact it is the second oldest in the country. In spite of that it has been very well maintained and the modernization necessities have been done with respect for its history.
Our room, an Executive King Suite was spacious and furnished with a blend of antiques (sitting room) and a very new and comfortable bed (bed room). Located in the heart of downtown Cedar Falls, we were able to walk to restaurants, shops, and museums. All 4 of the staff members were met were friendly, courteous, and professional. The charming bar offered crafted cocktails and we used our VIP perk happily.
Keep in mind this hotel is 170 years old and has a few creaks and cracks, none of which diminish the charm and comfort."
"Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and quiet. Was in town for a work trip and I was able to work into the evening and not be distracted. Breakfast, while not fancy was good, a nice selection daily. Room price could not be beat! If I return to Charles City, I will definitely stay there again "
"Outside was needing some attention especially around the side doors. Trash was overflowing but room was ok, it was clean and the air conditioning worked "
