「The personel/staff was outstanding friendly, helping wherever they can and very forthcomming. The view from the room is stunning. It is a quiet place with a beach infront, where the snorkling is great (we even saw a turtle!). In 15 minutes you can get to Chalok baan kao bay where you find 7/11, pharmacy, massages, bars, restaurant, etc...」

「Pros- amazing view, very quiet at night, beautiful apartment and bathroom. Cons- VERY steep hill to get there. Lots of lizards, bugs (what looked like cockroaches but smaller) and spiders inside, and lots of mosquitos outside. 「We really loved this hotel! Breakfast every morning was wonderful and the family that runs the hostel is so kind and helpful. The only downside is that it is a 15 minute walk (downhill) to the beach and uphill back to the hotel. We didn’t really mind as we usually packed a day bag and only made one trip there and back each day. My one other comment would be that we were in the room right next to the road and it could get quite noisy at night/during the day with bikes going up and down the hill....

「We decided to stay two more nights. Hard to find better value for money on koh tao. Stylish b&b with great breakfast and very close to the beach. Balcony with the room is a nice extra. WiFi is not working perfectly and there are roosters that could wake you up in the morning, but those were the only two negatives we could find.」

「Had a great few day stay at The Place Luxury Boutique Villas. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Guy and his wife are very informative with things to do. It is very quiet where the villas are located and to walk into 'town' is about a 10-15 min walk. The walk back is a bit more difficult as the villas are up on the hill but there are cabs which will always pick you up or take you back to the hotel. All in all a very nice stay. 」
