"Great buffet selection! While it is hard to get restaurant reservations, don't be worried about hitting up the buffet at all! Nicest, kindest staff I have ever met. The entertainment staff were so fun, genuine, and engaging, truly building relationships with you and creating memories and laughter. The pool selection was great (quiet, more exciting, whatever you're looking for), never waited long for a drink. Everything was close to walk to, never could not find a chair or some shade to sit in. Overall, great value!"

"We had a great stay at Bahia Principe Grand La Romana. The resort was very clean and well maintained, which made everything feel comfortable right away. The food selection was excellent. There were so many options at the main buffet that we didn’t even feel the need to make reservations at the restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It’s also a very quiet and relaxing place, especially at the beach, which we really enjoyed. The only things to note are that the beach water isn’t clear and there are no waves it feels more like a calm lake than the ocean. Also, the shower hot water takes a little while to heat up. While we were there, we didn’t see any jellyfish, but we also only went to the beach a couple of times. Overall, a nice and relaxing experience."

"The hotel lobby area and pool area was very nice. The music was very loud in the pool area, so it was difficult to carry on a conversation. And I love music! The volume needed to be turned down to enjoy the beautiful space. Once inside the hotel we felt safe and comfortable in the public shared areas. The restaurant was fine. We ate our dinner meal and our breakfast the next morning. The room was very small and not the most comfortable space. There really wasn’t anywhere to set out luggage or hang clothes. The bathroom was decent - almost as large as the sleeping area. I am glad that we were there for only one night. The lock on the hotel room was quite flimsy. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for a one night pre or post cruise stay. Longer stays would be more uncomfortable with the smaller rooms. Also, the security at the hotel was great as it is situated in an area that does not feel safe. Not a great area to be walking around and sightseeing."
