No frills hotel. Very good staff and very clean hotel. If you are going to Munich for Oktoberfest, this is the best place to stay. Less than five minutes walk to the site. Other than that not much reason to stay in that area.

Lovely friendly hotel

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Uhland. Staff are very friendly and helpful, the location is nice and quiet but within walking distance of the city centre. Wonderful restaurant nearby called Marie Therese which serves authentic Bavarian food.

So the staff told us this building used to be artist residences/school. Rooms are very high ceilings and roomy. We had a car and there was a spot to part for 15 euro/night, which was worth it. The walk to Marienplatz was about 20mins, so rather convenient if you walk directly east.

Very nice property, beautiful rooms and very friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent. We were expecting a mini fridge and on site laundry which were not available so just a heads up to ask if this is important to you as the ad did say it had both.

Excellent Stay!

Absolutely fabulous hotel! The staff is extremely kind and they serve a fantastic breakfast each morning. The rooms are also very clean and nice. Located close to the heart of the city, which makes walking to sites/restaurants very convenient. If I ever visit Munich again, I would definitely stay here!

The hotel has been recently renovated; it was really clean and the rooms were comfortable, the staff was really kind too. Its location was also really useful for taking the underground and moving around the city, and it's also worth mentioning how it's near the place where Oktoberfest is held

A complete and total gem! We booked a family room for one night but ended up staying two due to an emergency and rerouted trains. They welcomed us back as old friends and gave us a discounted rate for the second night booked on the fly. Quiet street with beautiful historic buildings, short 5-minute walk to Theresienwiese subway station, 15-minute walk to main train station Munich HB. Superior decor, comfortable bedding, AC that works and is quiet! Terrific breakfast and lovely, friendly staff. Five stars all the way around from us.

Staff were great. Room was beautiful and clean. The parking onsite is limited. The breakfast was lighter than expected - mostly sliced meats and bread items. There are not a ton of restaurant options very close, but several options within 15-20 minutes walking time which was a little surprising.
