Great room but on a very loud street with windows that allow you to hear the noise even if they are closed. Great staff and very modern room. Not really anywhere to put clothes in the double room though but we did a short stay so not a problem.

The rooms are clean, the location is convenient. Only real downside is the noise, the windows to the exterior are very poorly sound insulated. Because of the location, the street is pretty much busy at all hours with people speaking loudly outside, loud cars, or people rattling through bottles. The windows seemed almost entirely useless at preventing sound from getting through, and things felt nearly as loud as if the windows were open (which they don’t). Additionally, the walls themselves weren’t very well insulated, we could hear what was going on in the next room, and the hall, which proved to be annoying since the cleaners began rather early. Overall though our stay was fine despite disturbances throughout the night.

We had a good stay at Hotel Cocoon. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Beds were neat, had a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was good. Hotel location was near the Central Main Station and Christmas markets.

Hotel is ok but beware when booking a double room as you have a choice of a Double Room or a more expensive Courtyard View Room. Unfortunately I paid the extra only to find the one window in the room was surrounded outside by scaffolding and walkways if steel. I complained but there were only trainee staff who could not deal with the complaint. I was asked to put this in an email which I did the first day. I checked at reception the next day as there had been no acknowledgment only to be told the manager was on holiday for the weekend. No one has contacted about this and I was there 2 nights and then checked out at 11am Monday. I returned at 5.30pm Monday for our stored luggage and still no reply to the complaint. Beware when booking the more expensive Courtyard View room!
