"The hotel appears to have been recently renovated, and the rooms are modern, clean, and well maintained. The location is excellent and within walking distance of many attractions, restaurants, and the waterfront. However, my overall experience was mixed. The staff were polite but not particularly proactive. Important information was not provided unless I specifically asked for it, which made the stay less convenient than expected. The room itself had a few design issues. Surprisingly, there were no towel hooks or bars in the bathroom, making it inconvenient to hang towels. The air conditioning was also very noisy, which affected the quality of sleep. Parking was another disappointment. At over CAD $50 per night, it is already quite expensive, and guests with electric vehicles must pay an additional fee to charge them. I also paid extra for a city-view room with a balcony. Unfortunately, the balcony overlooked the hotel's pool and gym rather than offering the city view I had expected, which was disappointing considering the additional cost. Overall, the hotel has a great location and attractive, updated facilities, but there are several areas where the guest experience could be improved. With more attentive service, better room functionality, and clearer room descriptions, it would offer much better value."

"Location was amazing. The hotel needs updating and needs curb appeal. Suggestions maybe place some outdoor lounge chairs and some planters. The lobby carpets are filthy either clean them or replace them. I feel the staff could be a little more friendly and greet you when you walk by the lobby. We stayed for 4 nights and not once were we ever greeted with a smile or hello. On a positive note the beds and pillows were very comfortable and the hotel was quiet."

"The room was super cute, but also very much in need of few fixes. I was unaware that you had to bring your own supplies like toilet paper. When I texted the number given should there was an issue no one got back to me. Great location, and enjoyed my time in Mahone Bay. I would stay there again, now understanding better what type of property it is."
