"We stayed two nights at Calilo and I honestly don’t even know where to start. This place is stunning. From the moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by crystal-clear water, golden sand, and these incredible cliffs — it’s like a dream. We learned while we were there that it took 20 years to build Calilo, and you can feel it in every detail. The whole property is full of artwork, hand-carved stone, and beautiful mosaics. It’s not just a hotel – it feels like you’re staying inside a gallery blended perfectly with nature. We travel quite frequently and this is arguably the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed at. We received a complimentary room upgrade and loved it! It had a ‘pond’, which was really a private pool and a terrace overlooking the beach. Just gorgeous! The staff deserves a huge shoutout. Every single person we met was friendly, genuine, and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. From little surprises in the room to great tips about the island, it felt like they really cared about our experience. The bar manager and tender went above and beyond - even blending fresh mango just for our drinks! Calilo isn’t just a place to stay — it’s an experience. We left feeling completely refreshed and already planning when we can come back. If you’re thinking about it, book it. You will not regret it. We will definitely stay for longer next time!"

"When you are met with a serendipity it is hard to find the words to explain how wonderful it is…I guess that’s why it’s a serendipity, because it’s unexpected. This was not just about the location, the peace and quiet of the island, but about the staff who became family! Alexandro’s is the manger and cook and do it all man, Sophia was our wonderful waitress, Grigorios our driver and everything guy and Eleftheria our very sweet housekeeper. To say we fell in love with each of them would be an understatement. Their care for the guests was top knotch and truly had a family feel. Breakfasts on site for a fee was the highlight of every day! The menu is small, but the food is delicious and the coffee was perfection!! Never have we felt more cared for in all of our travels around the world. Amorgian Village was a short ride from Katapoli and about 30 minutes from Aegeali which is where we came in by ferry. Alexandro’s sent a driver who charged 40 euro for the ride to our hotel up steep winding roads… we were grateful for the ride until we figured things out. We were able to rent a car directly from Alexandro’s on site which was definitely a bonus considering our location. There is so much to see on the island we were happy to have a car. Our room was at the back which was so lovely, quiet and private. We had lots of seating options both in and outside our suite. The pool was sparkling clean and a wonderful temperature. "

"A fantastic boutique hotel at a beautiful location in front of an amazing golden sand beach with crystal clear waters. The hotel staff and services were fantastic, the room was spacious and beautiful. Breakfast spread was great and the hotel supplies beach towels and chairs. It is a 20 minute walk from town and 5 minutes walk from the next beautiful beach and then another 5 to the next one over."

"Fabulous brand new apartments run by very friendly, efficient and helpful people. Within 2-3 minutes walk of the supermarket, restaurants, bakery and the beach. Excellent all round, we highly recommend! "
