Hotel Review: The Mountain Inn
I recently stayed at the Mountain Inn and wanted to share my experience—overall a mixed bag, but with standout positives worth noting.
Lobby & Staff:
From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. The lobby is beautifully updated, clean, and tastefully decorated, giving off a cozy yet modern vibe. The real highlight here, though, is the staff. Every person I interacted with was genuinely friendly, but Guy, in particular stood out—so helpful, polite, and even added some humor to the check-in process. That kind of hospitality goes a long way after a long day of travel.
Location:
The location is very convenient—right off the highway, in a safe area with plenty of parking. For road trippers or anyone passing through, this is a perfect pit stop.
Room Experience:
The room was tidy and well-kept, but unfortunately, the soundproofing left a lot to be desired. I could hear TVs from neighboring rooms, and the phone vibrating in the room above was so loud, I genuinely thought it was my own. The bed creaked every time I turned over, enough to wake me up. The bathroom fan was extremely loud, and the fridge made bubbling noises that reminded me of a stomach after a heavy meal—not exactly soothing. To top it off, I was near the lobby, and the constant "ding" of the front doorbell with each guest arrival made sleep difficult. After a 10-hour drive, I was hoping for rest, but I didn’t fall asleep until after 1 a.m.
