We were pleasantly surprised to see how large the room was compared to some other motels we stayed in. The kitchen counter space was good, the bathroom was a nice size and the special touch of chocolate chip cookies was much appreciated. It had everything we needed and was close to groceries and the downtown for restaurants.

Very comfortable motel on the main road 30 minutes from the National Park near markets and restaurants. The room was well equipped with a full kitchen and a nice view of the mountains. We enjoyed our stay and recommend the Avalon.

Spacious well equipped room. Very welcoming and really helpful. Spotlessly clean. Plenty of parking and and level 10 minute walk to the centre of town. Easy 25 minute drive to boats for Abel Tasman coast path.
