Résidence Pierre & Vacances Avoriaz Saskia Falaise
8/10 Good
"The room was a lot smaller than expected and the bedroom was actually on extend to the lounge with only a bifold door separating them. You couldn’t watch the tv as the sofas were not able to be positioned in the right place. Unfortunately there was shards of glass on one of the sofas which my daughter cut her hand on. They did attempt to hoover it up with the most disgusting dirty hoover I have ever seen. But in the end had to change the cover. They weren’t very apologetic about this and didn’t seem to understand the potential implications. The radiator in the “bedroom” wasn’t working and had to be fixed. There is only one plug socket in the kitchen so you have to change the kettle, toaster, coffee machine over as you need to use them. In general there aren’t enough plug sockets and the room is really dated. Ski locker is very small for 4 people skiing. Great location and views, and snow was lovely."
"The pictures on Expedia were not pictures of the property. We arrived at a room which was worse than a hostel. Small, scruffy and a bedroom no bigger than a double bed.
We moved properties at our own expensive but it was the best decision. Having traveled extensively, I have never experienced anything like it before.
Had there not been a different option, we were going to leave the resort as I couldn’t have stayed for 5 nights.
It was grim!! Expedia needs to sort the photos out to reflect the property. "
"This is great accommodation for families. The apartments are well equipped with everything you need for a week skiing. Location is excellent - with ski in ski out and also next to where ski school starts."
"Our stay at Névé hotel was excellent and I would recommend to others. Hotel is particularly welcoming and suitable for children (ours are 11 and 15) with fantastic amenities for them and adults - a great pool and spa, games room and pool table, which we were able to use for the whole day after we checked out.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable and the whole hotel has a modern, contemporary feel.
Excellent breakfast was included.
Not a cheap hotel but very good value for money.
The only thing I can think of that would have made our stay better is that we only stayed one night and should have stayed longer!"
"Brilliant apartment in a spot you couldn't improve on, right next to the ski lift with views that stop you in your tracks. The team at the property were genuinely helpful, nothing too much trouble. Inside, the space is generous and well thought-through, modern styling sitting comfortably alongside traditional chalet character. Would go back without hesitation."
"As noted by previous guests the building is dated but not an issue. On arrival reception staff was very helpful and polite. (Note the reception openig times). Location is ideal and only 5 mi utes walk to the town centre. Stayed in room 33 which has a balcony and a decent view of the town and surrounding hills. Bed was very comfortable with good quality linen. No issues with noise external or interior. Room size was good with a double bed. Toilet / shower was a cubicle type and worked well.
